Is it something to do with the rocks or are you just playing for long periods of time? basically yeah, surviving. So that you can get pineapples. Dropping 2 boulders in one level to makes the fruit appear; as levels progress the fruit give higher rewards until eventually you're getting pineapples worth 8,000 pts each. At that point your score is climbing much faster. Then just repeat and try not to die. Of course, you can always try to smash multiple bad guys at once for thousands but the main factor is surviving and getting those fruits. Same with the arcade game although the arcade goes much deeper with the skill levels! I was under the idea that the fruits, veggies and Galaxians topped out at 2,000. Hard to watch the score counter too much in the middle of a game . Coyote Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) Before tonight my previous all time high score in Dig Dug on the 2600 was around 77,000 so I'm already pleased with my score this week, even though it's nowhere near the top of the rankings. Those tips to just focus on staying alive and collecting the pineapples by dropping the second boulder when all but 1 or 2 enemies have been cleared out really helped a ton! On a side note, how mad does someone gotta be to go around killing mother*bleep*ers with a bicycle pump? This game is kinda messed up. The first thing I try to do is blow up any lone monsters so there are less of them on the board, but it gets to the point where they're doubled-up everywhere and go into fast mode only a couple of seconds into the game.
