+9640News
I received permission from Eric Firestone to upload his 2018 Chicago Fair presentation regarding the 99/5C he and Cadd Electronics are producing. My unit should arrive in the next few days. 995C Cadd Electronics 2018 Chicago Presentation.pdf
+videofx
Yea I was impressed when I saw it at the meeting but $800 threw me. I would love to see photos of your unit and let us know how it works and any issues you run into and the support you get

TheMole
Seeing that it is using ARM chips with DSP support, I'm assuming this thing is emulating a TI, v9983, etc... ? There's no bespoke FPGA logic anywhere on the board? Would the emulator be able to run on other ARM hardware? *edit* apologies in advance for what might be silly questions, the presentation is kinda light on details and I did not get a chance to see any of the Chicago footage . fabrice montupet
In the second document, we can read: The "C" skips the "B", since it avoids confusion with the 99/4B. Instead we use "C". That's OK. But, in this case, why having chosen "5" ? because there is a confusion with the 99/5, http://www.ti99.com/ti/index.php?categorie7/ti994bti995 Edited December 3, 2018 by fabrice montupet
+9640News
Besides the two part video that Cadd presented at the Chicago Fair, I also did a Facebook live posting at: https://www.facebook.com/beery.miller/videos/10218020308928124/ You have to turn the volume up pretty good to hear it. Video quality may be better, you can be the judge. Just a FYI, I have no vested financial interest in Cadd's work. Eric did relay other possibilities yo me regarding the hardware capabilities that could open up other things as well that intrigued me besides the 4A stuff. fabrice montupet
I think too, but just like the "99/4B".
Opry99er
I think he said in the video: "5 is better than 4."
+arcadeshopper
So Beery did you get one of these? If so, whats the verdict? Greg
+9640News
I got the V1 99/5C about 15 months ago from Eric. He is getting close to sending me the updated board per an email exchange last week as he is working on getting his oven properly setup to solder the parts. The updated board will have full RS232 support. The User Interface for configuration could be improved, but what I have seen looks good. +arcadeshopper
have you tried it with any peripherals yet?
+9640News
The version I have does not work with any peripherals. That is Eric's next release I am working on. I have not heard whether he has the interface board built for that portion of the interface working/built yet. Beery

In otherwords can I use it like a REAL TI with GRAM KRACKER?
