Video #5 Posted June 15, 2003 That I'm aware, Warloards is the only four player game on 2600. Good luck getting working paddles though, much less two sets of working paddles. for two player games. I'd say Combat takes it there.
cschell #6 Posted June 15, 2003 I have to agree, Indy 500 and Warlords. Chad
Rob Mitchell #7 Posted June 15, 2003 That I'm aware, Warloards is the only four player game on 2600. Well .. Steeplechase (4p) can be good fun at a party. Good luck getting working paddles though, much less two sets of working paddles. Easy! Isopropyl alcohol rejuvenates paddles in 1 minute of effort. 2 person fun: Combat, Indy 500, Surround, Dodg'em. Artlover #8 Posted June 15, 2003 For 2 player fun, I'd have to Megablast for the atari 8bit with enough ram for the digi sample set. I wish there was a 1 player version.
Thomas Jentzsch #9 Posted June 15, 2003 Indy 500 (original game) Marble Craze (modern homebrew) Decathlon (great party game! )

atarianer2003 #11 Posted June 15, 2003 Warlords, Dodge'em and Combat are the best.

Cybergoth #13 Posted June 16, 2003 Hi there! The Epyx titles, Sky Diver and Demons to Diamonds. And widely unknown, Marble Craze has an excellent built-in 2-Player cooperative mode as well Greetings, Manuel

sku_u #15 Posted June 16, 2003 Combat and Frogs N Flies with the difficulty on A. Splashing into the water is fun.
Rockin' Kat #16 Posted June 16, 2003 I like warlords.
Godzilla #17 Posted June 16, 2003 Quick Step and Entombed are always two of my favorites.
Atari2600Lives #18 Posted June 16, 2003 I like Space Invaders 2 player. I think it's amazingly fun. Both players playing at the same time , competing against each other as well as the invaders.....cool stuff. It leads to a bit of cut throat play...it's really, really fun if you have never played it. It's actually one of the few ports that improved on the original game concept. hey Super Psycho! I saw someone else with my avatar the other night, the one you made for me! (just kidding, no biggie but I thought it was funny).
King Atari #19 Posted June 16, 2003 Warlords, easily.
Ehrbad #20 Posted June 17, 2003 I've never played Warlords before, but it sounds great from what everyone says about it...my faves are Combat and Space Invaders.
Xot #21 Posted June 17, 2003 Chalk up another vote for Warlords... But I also find Surround and Warring Worms, Outlaw and Boxing to be a lot of fun for 2-players. Boxing gets downright mean around my house, and 7800 Hat Trick has almost broken out in fights!!
Atariboy #22 Posted June 17, 2003 I'd have to pick Combat, never played Warlords with more then 1 other person so I'm probably really missing out on what that game can offer.
xredmenacex #23 Posted June 17, 2003 I agree with the majority here in saying Warlords is the best. However I always thought the two player modes in Worm War I were fun, although a bit frustrating. You can play competitively or cooperatively. I always thought the cooperative mode was pretty unique because two players share the same score and fuel. sku_u #24 Posted June 17, 2003 This would make a nice poll for the frontpage, although Warlords would be the hands down winner.
tearex #25 Posted June 17, 2003 This would make a nice poll for the frontpage, although Warlords would be the hands down winner. Well thanks to everybody who replied, and yes I agree it would be nice to construct a poll for the front page from the answers already found within this thread. Who makes the polls?
