stupus #2 Posted December 21, 2018 Is this the 3rd copy that was shown on Facebook that has no end label and was brought to corgs last summer?
vintagegamecrazy #3 Posted December 21, 2018 Not to be a negative Nancy here but you're going to have a tough time selling this the way it stands. If I could offer some advice, get help from others here before you sell it. You have one post here and zero feedback on Ebay so an item of this value will probably not get a buyer unless you have some feedback first. Clean up your Ebay description and fix the broken sentences and make it look very professional and put time into the listing. You may want to have someone help you verify this for the sake of credibility as well. If this is a legit copy then it is indeed worth money and any perspective buyers will want to feel very comfortable while they purchase this.
stupus #4 Posted December 21, 2018 Just saw you are in California. So I am guessing this is not the known 3rd copy with no end label? So is this a 5th copy now? I agree with vintagegamecrazy, with no provenance, no reputation and broken sentences you will have a much harder time selling this. Your price is pretty aggressive as well... Considering only the 1st copy sold for $14k The 2nd for $10k and the 4th for only $3900. And those were all better shape with end labels. That said from the little seen here it looks to be real to me at 1st look.
Supergun #5 Posted December 21, 2018 100% agreed with the above. And this cart is SUPER easy to assemble. My personal placeholder is IDENTICAL to the original. So much so that I get them confused myself.
high voltage #6 Posted December 21, 2018 Why do they never turn up with the Coloring book and cassette tape?
Leo8750 #7 Posted December 21, 2018 The way I came across this game is i bought a box full of Atari games at our local fleymarket .it came with Atari 2600 console this was this summer.i had put it in storage and had forgot about it.last weekend í went to my storage and seen the box so I grab it and take it home.i begin to look online to see if any of this games are worth anything on price charting.i began to look up Red Sea crossing and sein how much of a rare game it was and how much it could be worth i began to do research and found out that theres reproduction and that theirs only four original copies and I also foun a lot of information on Atariage I began reading all the post .this copy I have looks just like the fist ones that have been found reproduction look different .the only reason i bought the box is I remember having one wend I was little so that's why I'm new on eBay this web site I now it works I have played it if any body wants to give me any more ideas I'm open for comments.or ask me any questions

pacman000 #9 Posted December 21, 2018 Why do they never turn up with the Coloring book and cassette tape? Most folks would store those separately. Tapes in the tape holder, coloring books with the coloring books, Atari stuff with the Atari. No one, in the mid-80's would've expected these to become ultra-rare collectibles. Chances are they cleaned out all their tapes years ago, & the coloring book was tossed a few months after the kids had colored everything. Still, do you, Leo, remember who sold the carts? Could you contact them & see if they still have any audio cassettes or coloring books from when their kids were little? I'd hate for those to be lost forever, & this is a place to start looking. Maybe it'll be a dead end, or maybe we'll get lucky.

stupus #11 Posted December 21, 2018 Yes, if you could locate the original coloring book or tape then that $12k price tag could maybe become a reality for you. Otherwise I don't think you will get even 1/3 of that.

+Captain_Combat #14 Posted December 22, 2018 I bought a big bin full of 80s cassettes over 10 years ago, I may have to dig through this with the very very slim chance of finding the mythical "red Sea crossing".
S.BAZ #15 Posted December 22, 2018 Wow, copies of this game still showing up! my 2 cents: If someone has poor English, I would not assume that is any kind of reason to suspect they offered a fake item. Some people did not grow up speaking English. Also, starting with a higher asking price is no indication of maliciousness or harmful intent. It just means somebody wishes to get full value for their item. When I have shopped on ebay or what-not, I never feel defensive about high prices. I don't see that as an attack or threat of attack. No harm done, they have made an offer and I don't feel pressured or anything. I can always make a "best offer" or a "bid" of my own. Even if somebody asked $30k for that I would not feel any threat. It's fully up to me whether to pay that or not, and if someone did pay that much... still no harm done. It was their choice. They got what they wanted. And good for the guy who sold it. Therefore I don't think any reasonable person would distrust somebody for reasons like these. HOWEVER, I do see a point stated above which seems reasonable to me. People want to see positive feedback and a solid user history. That more than any pictures or what-not (I think) shows credibility and gives people confidence in the person making the offer. So it may be difficult to get thousands of dollars for something with no history or feedback. Escrow assures one will get their product so one only needs to consider whether the guy may have offered a fake item. Just for fun: If I had that game and decided to try selling it I would start high (maybe even more than 12k, why the heck not?) and accept no less than $5,000. Otherwise I'd damn keep it! ...unless I stopped collecting. Then I'd keep trying and maybe take $2-3k if it just kept not selling. If I had tons of bucks and wanted to buy it for my collection I would just damn buy it for whatever I could get it for. Start offering a little low and go from there. If I wanted it for a bargain and hoped to resell it I would start VERY low and maybe pay as much as $1,000. If I was the real me (not having tons of bucks) I wouldn't pay more than about $100 so probably no RSC for me! Awesome find! and good luck with the sale

stupus #24 Posted January 30, 2019 Yes, for a new bottom price for this title. Too bad it was missing the end label. But you still did very good for what you probably got very cheap. Anybody want to step forward as the proud new owner of #5?
stupus #25 Posted January 30, 2019 A longtime collector here bought it. I will let them step forward if they wish too. Glad it got a good home and hope it's all 100% legit. From pics it sure looks to be.
