CPUWIZ #2 Posted June 16, 2003 Yep but you need to pay for the shipping.
Xot #3 Posted June 16, 2003 I thought the AA store remimbursed you for shipping as well, if you shipped media mail??
Video #4 Posted June 17, 2003 Woah, You mean I can send AA my millions of copies of PacMan and combat and get money for them? SWEET!!! Uh...is there a limit to this or what? I've probably got 50-100 copies around here...that I can easily locate.
Albert #5 Posted June 17, 2003 I thought the AA store remimbursed you for shipping as well, if you shipped media mail?? Yes, we apply any shipping charges against shipping charges for orders from the store. And yes, we ask that you use media mail to ship the cartridges, as Priority is much more expensive when shipping heavy packages. ..Al

I've probably got 50-100 copies around here...that I can easily locate. As long as the carts are in decent physical condition (no scratches, no permanent marker on one side where someone write his or her name, no plasma burns, etc.) and they are Atari picture or text label carts (no E.T.'s, for instance) then we're definitely interested in them. We are also looking for Activision carts in good condition (label condition is not important). ..Al
Video #7 Posted June 17, 2003 Is there going to be an activision prot released or something? Why the activision carts (other than they look cool)

ATARI TROLL #9 Posted June 17, 2003 You have to be crazy if AA is going to reimburse for shipping. How are the carts supposed to get there. I wouldn't credit you $15.00 if you sent in 3 combat carts. A little sacrifice goes with earning money. Cheers
ATARI TROLL #10 Posted June 17, 2003 <---------Will keep opinions to self, apologies. Thats cool the way AA does business. I read to fast and didnt catch it all the first time. Shame on me!.. Again, apologies for being rude.
Nukey Shay #11 Posted June 17, 2003 What's the deal on Silver Labels? Couldn't the cartridge shells be put in a dishwasher to easily remove those paper labels?
CPUWIZ #12 Posted June 17, 2003 What's the deal on Silver Labels? Couldn't the cartridge shells be put in a dishwasher to easily remove those paper labels? They used a strange glue on those, if you don't heat them up to the correct temperature, they rip and leave a nasty mess on the cart.
Xot #13 Posted June 17, 2003 I would assume that if you got the label and glue completely off of an ET or SwordQuest cart you'd be able to get the 50 cents for it, if you want to go through all the trouble. Am I the only one who think it'd be cool to get a little slip of paper in the box with your game that said something like, "Your game used to be this!" with a pic of the original cart, like say, a picture-label Combat or whatever, and a little AA/Recycle logo? Probably.
CPUWIZ #14 Posted June 17, 2003 Actually, a better question would be "Do I get more $$$ if all the labels have been removed already ?".
Xot #15 Posted June 17, 2003 And what about removing the old PCB's too? That would cut down on weight and equal cheaper shipping too!!
Albert #16 Posted June 17, 2003 Actually, a better question would be "Do I get more $$$ if all the labels have been removed already ?". Heck yes, if someone wants to remove labels off carts (easily done with a heat gun or probably hair dryer) and maybe even clean the label areas with GooGone or some other substance, that saves a lot of time in cart preparation and I would definitely pay more per cart. ..Al
