Thank you.

Is there change log somewhere?

I did find this on the atarimax forums regarding the beta firmware

"This includes fixes for a few hardware and firmware bugs that may not impact many people. It also includes support for 64kB "Activision" cartridges less eeprom support."

It took about 2 weeks for me to get updated firmware from him.  You need to tell him your version information, this can change the steps to follow.  Just using what someone else got may not work for yo.Sent him an email with:

Hi Steve,

I would like to get the latest updates.
I'm currently running:
HDW: 20160607
Boot: 20150207
Menu: 20141102
Firm: 20160609

Here is a screen shot of the latest versions

My email was exactly the same as yours, i.e. exactly the same firmware revision numbers.

I emailed Steve over two weeks ago and no response.

If anyone has the latest firmware it would be hugely appreciated if you can upload it to this thread.

Some of the files in the zip date back to 2016. How recent is this latest update? Will this one interfere with some SGM games? If this update is over three years old, I might as well not worry about it.

The (Normal) upgrade instructions date back to 2016.

The core firmware and hardware files are dated July 2019 and the core boot file is dated June 2019:

If everything is working fine though, leaving well enough alone may be the best move.

Thanks a million for posting this! Steve isn’t very active on the Atarimax forums, so I really appreciate you making this available. I was on firmware version 20160609 so I was eager to update. The 20190610 firmware has made a difference! The Atarimax reset button works consistently now and sends me back to the main menu every time. This had always been a flustering operation prior. Thank you @classics wherever you are!
