Found an original xbox at goodwill

May just need to be taken apart and cleaned. Possibly cold solder joints. Had both issues with my old controllers.

I opened it up. There was a bunch of dried bugs and stuff inside. I cleaned it and Still no dice. Maybe the cable is bad but it looks soldered on.

Is the whole controller dead, our just certain functions? Have a multi meter?

How? Yes I have 2 laying around somewhere. I got to find them.

It seems like you could have bought a tested, working one with all the accessories for what you've paid for this one.

Try testing the cord for continuity. One end of the mm at the solder points inside the controller, the other at the plug.

The unit was only 11 dollars and works great. And accessories are cheap. Only 1 broken controller. Rest is all good. Plus i t was only 2 dollars and 25 cents with free shipping.
