Pong tables at CES 2019 again

Recommended Posts

Noticed these pong tables, keep coming up every year at CES.

So did they ever get released. I'm sure they're pretty expensive:

Around $2000 and more...

Ars Technica recently posted an article that gives a tour of several arcades in Japan. One of them had this Pong unit. The author noted that although the paddles and ball have a convincingly video-gamey movement, there is significant lag between rotary controller input and paddle movements that makes them unsatisfying. You can find the Pong pictures and captions in the first picture gallery: https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/01/a-bewildered-far-from-conclusive-look-at-the-state-of-public-gaming-in-tokyo/

I backed the kickstarter and have yet to receive the table. I got an email recently that sounded like I would get one soon. It has been the typical kickstarter shit show of terrible planning and missed timelines.

I bought into a Kickstarter in Nov 2017 for a miniatures war game for about $75. The items were supposed to originally ship July 2018.

Delay after delay... now they are saying February... but I don't think they said which February...
