Anyone here clocked Super Breakout?

Recommended Posts

Must be the toughest game on 2600 to clock.

Has anyone clocked any of the modes? Scoring 10K on all 4 modes must be the ultimate challenge.

Progressive mode is brutal. Trying this on diff A is even worse!!!

:)

One of my favourite games ever on any console.

Here's pics of my CIB copy of the game just for fun. PAL version which seems to have been optimised - after trying both versions out there isn't much difference in speed - if any - and the PAL version seems to have a larger play area. I was going to create a PAL60 version of it but didn't see the need after trying the NTSC version.

Man, I even tried rolling the score on the children's version where the speed doesn't go that fast but it was taking so long I was falling asleep. Takes about 3 walls (20 minutes) just to score over 1000 pts. I'm good.

The classic game mode might not that interesting to higher skilled players. Children's mode would be too slow - would even send me to sleep!!

Clocking one of the other modes might be more interesting. The double and cavity modes feature double and triple multiplier scoring which also lowers the number of walls needed.
