PSUflyfisherman #1 Posted January 31, 2019 Hi- I have a large amount of Atari ST stuff my wife has asked me to clear out. Lots still to be listed. Will be posting most of it on EBay. Books, disks, hardware, boxed software. You can look me up as PSUflyfisherman. Thanks! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Indus-GT-1000-Floppy-Disk-Drive-For-Atari-ST-with-power-supply-and-manual/303045875471?hash=item468ef1170f:g:nmkAAOSwa3FcUkzc
6BQ5 #2 Posted January 31, 2019 Does that Hanns monitor work at 15 kHz with a ST machine?
PSUflyfisherman #3 Posted February 3, 2019 Sorry I have not tried it, that is a good question. I have a SC1224 and a SM124 with a monitor master so I never tried anything else (plus I had this stuff in storage for awhile).
R.Cade #4 Posted February 3, 2019 A 5.25" drive for the ST? Very strange... Is this a production drive?
+OLD CS1 #5 Posted February 3, 2019 The GT-1000 is real for certain, but I have had a difficult time finding any documentation. Definitely interested. I just picked up a 520ST with no drives.
R.Cade #6 Posted February 3, 2019 I know I've heard of people using an 80-track 5.25" drive on the Amiga, since the disks were so much cheaper back then...
+OLD CS1 #7 Posted February 4, 2019 I know I've heard of people using an 80-track 5.25" drive on the Amiga, since the disks were so much cheaper back then... I have one of those Amiga drives. It will format 880k on a 5.25" disk as the OS does not know the difference between it and a 3.5" drive. I do not believe it can actually do HD, though, only DD as the Amiga is speed-locked at 250kbps. In any case, I am not certain HD 5.25" disks were any less expensive than DD 3.5". Been a long time, though.
atarian1 #8 Posted February 4, 2019 People used 5 1/4" drives on the ST mainly for PC-Ditto and other PC emulators. Remember, at the time, most PCs still used 5 1/4" drives.
PSUflyfisherman #9 Posted February 7, 2019 The Spectre GCR that is ending tonight has the 128k ROMS in it. I just took a picture but can't add it to the listing. Maybe one of you can get a deal knowing this.
