Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

Recommended Posts

I am so looking forward to any of the Imagic games that I used to know and love when I was a kid.  I had Beauty & the Beast, Microsurgeon and Demon Attack, can't wait to see the reimagined versions of those.  Stuff is starting to feel close..I can see October in the near future...

I don't know... kinda looks like a cheap flash game.

:D

This is the second game with photo realistic graphics on Amico (farkle being the other one), i thought you said the casual gamers didn’t like that 😉

Appreciate your support and understanding!!

I can't wait for you to play soon!!!!!!!

I showed a couple of guys I work with that are avid gamers as well the screen shot of Bomb Squad.  It was very well received.  They asked how to play,  the best answer I could give them was that it was like an Escape Room game in a console.   All kinds of puzzles and sequences need to happen to diffuse the bomb against the clock.

Maybe just my humble opinion but I sincerely believe this game will be an industry changer for the active use of a console...and one of Amico's top selling games.   It just looks amazing and sounds like a lot of fun.  I can't wait to play it with a living room full of couples on Party Night.

Sounds like we might be seeing more from some of the more 'gamer' titles like Rigid Force Redux Enhanced, maybe Dynablaster - who knows, maybe time to show a sports title like soccer? Let the speculation begin...

I feel like the presentation would really benefit from showing off the more unique and distinctive Amico titles.

You're actually kinda close!

But instead of the dark blue... you should use our "Amico" blue.

One of the cool things about Amico boxes is that they are NOT just those plastic clam shell thingies that EVERYONE has been using over the past 30 years (with the cheap thin paper stuffed in them).

We wanted to do something more reminiscent of the old days where art and print were actually put ON the box.  Not printed on paper and inserted into a clam shell.

:)

I do hope Amico's game boxes will be more durable than the old days, haha.

Do you mean the original Intellivision gatefold boxes? Of the big 3 from the golden age I'd say the Inty gatefolds held up way better than the CV and 2600 boxes on average. I think they're pretty durable. My 2 cents. Having said that, I hope the Amico boxes pay homage to those early Mattel ones. Can't wait to buy them all @Tommy Tallarico

Demon Attack and Atlantis were two of my favorite Atari 2600 games as a kid. The picture of the flying "demons" (which were really just rubber dinosaurs with jet packs on their backs) scared the crap out of me.

But my Sega clamshells are like new. Can't say that about too many NES, SNES, Atari etc games...

A nice Intellivision games compilation video. Any notables missing? Has anybody played them all?

I've never seen the game Hard Hat before. Looks like it could be a fun re-imagined multiplayer game (I'm beginning to sound like @Intellivision Master ). Reminds me of Hard Hat Mack on the Commodore 64.

Lefthand side looks a little to “Dexter” for a family friendly console 😁

Here's a really cool interview that just came out on IGN (Middle East).

A lot of great questions and answers.  I think a lot of folks here will enjoy this one.

I think it's going to be this new time for a while.  Until OEB Pete decides to change it again.  Hopefully you can stop by.  Maybe drop some more exclusives.

Hey @Tommy Tallarico, are you going to call the online store PlayCable? :D

Hahahha!  That is a good one!

The official name is Amico Game Shop.

Maybe if we ever do an online service we could call it that.
