MrBeefy #3127 Posted December 1, 2019 While I find the no news comment funny, I would want to make sure I don't make it seem like Amico is in a competition with the VCS. The VCS is currently not well liked. Don't want to make it seem they are in a similar playing field. How many of the Atari IPs are going to be in the packaged in games?

I don’t think you can get away from people comparing Intellivision to Atari given their history but I also think there is a big difference between being compared and being looked at the same way given the different ways Atari and Intellivision have gone about their projects I don’t see the two getting lumped together

Can’t say I’ve ever played 3000 as I’ve never even seen a Nuon... but no, he makes other games too, haha. Tempest 3000 is THE reason for having a NUON. There is an emulator for the Nuon. Nuance. I haven't tried it in a few Generations of Processors.. It played.. But was very slow. Looking forward to the announcement tomorrow... Have my card with me

+Tommy Tallarico #3131 Posted December 2, 2019 As most of you may know, tomorrow we celebrate the 40th birthday of Intellivision! On December 3, 1979 the very first Intellivision console hit the market and was sold in California. To commemorate our anniversary we are planning to release a short Augmented Reality Moon Patrol game demo. But also on the list is a video of our new controller, new screenshots, new special merchandise, the first list of developers creating games and more. Please make sure to sign up to our mailing list at IntellivisionAmico.com if you haven't already done so. Thanks! Even our cakes are updated and reimagined!

No reason to pay Atari a royalty every time we sell a console. 6

Alpha82 #3134 Posted December 3, 2019 Has anybody heard anything about Attack Media? They haven’t posted any new content on YouTube in 7 months I know in the interview Kevin did with Tommy he had said they should get together again for a second show after E3 2019 but as far as I know that never happened

woobman #3137 Posted December 3, 2019 I was thinking about the controllers. Can we, on at least some games, play the games on the controllers? No TV required? I know it may not work on all games, but I can imagine that some may work.

Still a brilliant idea.

+Tommy Tallarico #3140 Posted December 3, 2019 (edited) To kick off Intellivisions 40th birthday celebration, we have dug deep into the archives to share with everyone a never-before-seen promo video from 1978! This was filmed a year before the official launch of Intellivision & there are some images and information in the video that are different from what ended up coming out. Can you pick them all out? EPIC 1950's sounding voice-over. Someone needs to do a remix song with this! More exciting news to come throughout the day! Cool-was thinking Bases Loaded series (although 3 & 4 were frankly not good), King Arthur's World, Goal! and the nominal City Connection, and I thought their boxing games were pretty good. I'm not familiar with their adventure games, but if they were similar to King Arthur, then I think those would be good fits, too.
