Steven Pendleton #8503 Posted March 4, 2020 2 hours ago, Tommy Tallarico said: How dare you not include Intellivision in that statement!! Honest question for the group... I've only played the Intellivision, Colecovision and Vectrex homebrew stuff. And although some of the Intellivision stuff is a little hit and miss... overall... the quality is mind-blowing and amazing!! Some of the coolest and best looking games for the original Intellivision and Vectrex are the homebrew stuff! So my question is this... Which system has the BEST AND HIGHEST QUALITY homebrew stuff? I'm not a fan of Atari. Never was and I'm still not. Always personally disliked their graphics and controller. That doesn't mean I don't RESPECT them and love the brand (the original brand that is)... but I just never personally liked playing the games as I either had better versions on my Apple II (and later on Colecovision) and just always thought Intellivision was so much better (because that was the system my parents saved up for and got us for Christmas). I'm sure if they us an Atari... I'd probably be a fan! Anyway... back to the question... for those of you who know the homebrew community and are not biased towards any system. Which system has the BEST AND HIGHEST QUALITY homebrew stuff? Not "who has the most". I'm assuming it's Atari. I'm talking about the level of quality, fun and playability. For me... it's Vectrex & Intellivision... but that is me never having played (or liking) original Atari stuff. Discuss! Well... maybe PC if I'm being 100% honest just because it's more widely distributed than most consoles and definitely has sheer volume over everything else. I don't know too much about it personally, but Dreamcast has always been really popular for that stuff. I have never owned a Dreamcast, so this is just what I have heard. I'd go check out that for sure. I do know that Tanglewood came out on the Genesis/MD recently and supposedly it's good. It's also on Steam but I'm not sure if it's on any other systems. Xeno Crisis also came out on the Genesis/MD a few months ago and I know that one is really damn awesome because I have it. It has some of the most technically advanced music on the system that impressed the hell out of everyone. This one is on Steam also and I think some modern consoles. There is also Intellivania for Intellivision, which doesn't have a release yet but is currently being developed and looks really great as well. In fact, it's one of the main reasons that I bought my Intellivision.

(Great news by the way ! ) So we will have this video this month, with the complete level demo from Moon Patrol. Then, 5200 VIP units will be available. And in June at E3, we will have a great conference, secrets revealed, more videos, people playing Amico, and we will have 7800 Gold Edition units available for preorder ! That's it !! 🤗 Hmm... Does anyone know if Atari made something after the 7800 ... ? 😅😉 I think the next console they made was the Atari 1 Million GTO Red Edition for $279 with a $25 gift card ***cough cough **** Tommy should hear this *** cough cough ***** 1

I'm sure you'll have it by the end of day. But again... the fact that you say things like "as long as I get the refund" bleeds that you think you're going to somehow get ripped off. Maybe you don't think it comes across like that... but from the person on the other side... it does. I respectfully asked you to give me reasons for your doubt. You tell me I have lost credibility... yeah guy.... that's a HUGE insult whether you're willing to admit it or not. So I kindly asked you to give me information as to why you feel this way... and you refused to answer. So to review... it's okay for you to insult me... then I treat you with respect and ask you reasons... and instead you just insult me more and declare that I'm just emotional. You say that my response is emotional? Yet I have been 100% professional in every way and you automatically canceled your order (not that I mind) 100% based on your own emotions or (as you put it) because I "dared" you. That's fine. Lets drop it. You get your money back and I get to make someone super happy today. We both win. Lets just leave it at that. Thanks. 8 3

I appreciate it. I respectfully disagree with some of the things and assumptions you made in the video (which is totally fine that you made them!) and if you are interested in having me on and discussing more... I'd love to. We could do a private call as well if you'd like. Doesn't need to be for publicity. Just looking to give more insight and info on what we're doing and why. Thanks again for the video. Feel free to reach out and lets do a video or private interview together if you'd like. Here is the answer : Dorkalicious Il y a 2 heures Hey Tommy, Thank you for your feedback. I have to say, never in my wildest dreams did I think you would watch my video, its like ahhhhh. My wife and I have been to your concerts "Video Games Live" at-least 3 times over the years as-well as watched you back in the 90's on electric playground so its exciting for us to hear some feedback from you. We'd love to do a discussion with you on the Amico, I'm not sure how we should get in touch with you since youtube took away the messaging service but I see your social media on your youtube page so should I contact you via your facebook or instagram? Thanks - Ken

poconojo #8512 Posted March 4, 2020 I am glad I ordered the FE. I do not have a problem with a VIP edition. I can see why some might not like this because it may devalue the FE if reselling for profit. As long as there is a difference between the two editions, I don't think this will be an issue.

I love 2 types of games especially. I love shooters, which I see the Amico will have aplenty such as Astrosmash, Moon Patrol, Asteroids etc. The other type of game I love is being an Indiana Jones type treasure seeking adventurer, climbing up and down vines or ladders, jumping over dangers, fighting beasties etc. Love 'em. From Uncharted and Tomb Raider all the way back to Pitfall and Montezuma's Revenge. Never grown tired of them. I haven't seen any examples of this type of game for the Amico though. I was wondering what games in that vein are in the works for the Amico. Tommy - Have you commented on Montezuma's Revenge? I know there was an app made of that game, so not sure where the rights stand. Would love to see this game on the Amico. BTW, I'm around your age, actually slightly older, and the Intellivision was my first video game console and has always had a special place in my heart. I am ecstatic at what you are doing with the Intellivision Amico! I have about had it with the newer consoles and the complexity and micro-transactions and all....just done with it, so extremely excited to get an Amico and play video games like I grew up playing...simpler, fun games that everyone can enjoy. Thanks for this!

Tommy is always emotional because he wants his own product to do well and he doesn't like people dragging it for negative reasons. A ton of people (myself included) accused him of potentially crowdfunding with his original FE offer, but it sold out so quickly it would make sense to open up more pre-orders. Even if he is using the money for funding, if people want to pre-order they can, he's not saying "This won't get made unless you pre-order" like typical crowdfunding endeavors. yes and Tommy is Italian and we get very emotional about things! I want the Founders Edition folks to feel SUPER DUPER special... and the VIP folks to feel a little special. That would be the goal anyway. I get that and like the 5200 idea. I would suggest some small difference in the console itself to differentiate it from the mass produced as well as the FE. Maybe just your initials or numbering or something. I just like to discourage the type of hyper-exclusiveness with collectibles I see in pockets here and there on the forum, etc.; Like someone saying no other special pre-orders allowed or if the FE 2600 had games on it no one else would ever be able to play, I’d think that was a bit sadistic. I could give several real examples, but I won’t belabour it. But everyone will get a similarly operating Amico and be able to play all the games, so, no problem as far as I can see.
