On the normal colors I actually go white over black - but the sales numbers say otherwise on that one.

I noticed the transparency of the veil of that certain YouTuber and other little technical details that show there is a lot of quality behind those funny images. Intellivision Master #14883 Posted April 26, 2020 Tommy, Will we see this Imagic game? It was a European exclusive. It was also on other consoles at the time. It's the only Imagic title that did not see a US release.

Give me a few seconds/minutes/hours/years and I will find it for you. Edit: Done! It's a 1991 French game called Paragliding Simulation/Paraplane (it has two names!). It's paragliding, but hey! You can see hang gliders passing close to you. It's a decent game, apparently. Edit 2: Here's some gameplay of the game. It looks a bit too simple, but the idea and graphics were good. Thanks IntelliMission, Blarneo & IMBerzerk. Something zoomed out a bit and revamped might be fun.

Just a couple of empty boxes for it.And if it was,its the only game I dont have for the Intellivision. It would be a cool addition for the Amico now however ! IntelliMission #14890 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) According to these guys: - Intellivision is not the name of the company - The console is trying to sell based solely on nostalgia - Nintendo already does this with the Switch - The Amico is trying to be a console that you buy to children instead of the Switch The host also said that "somebody" from Intellivision approached him to do some kind of interview and he refused "because he doesn't believe in the product and accepting the offer would like free advertising". The way they talked about the original Intellivision was interesting: "Nobody cares about that". "Nobody collects for it". They were surprised about the 10,000 units presold and they didn't know that the console only needs 100,000 to break even: "The Wii U sold 12 millions and it still failed". At the end, the host recognized that he can't really be sure because he hasn't played it and that Tommy is admirable for having a vision and following it. My personal perception is that the host was somehow angry when talking about the console, as if its mere existence disturbed him. It reminded me of some other podcast, but I forgot the name. Yeah I agree the whole thing just felt really weird again it’s a couple people who can’t seem to view the landscape through any lens but their own. So a little history of my life in gaming started on Intellivision my parents owned one before I was born lots of great memories playing on it especially with my dad. Moved on to NES then SNES still played a lot with my dad. When N64 & PlayStation launches dad and I couldn’t decide so over a couple weekends we rented a N64 from the video store plus 3 games Turok, and a Star Wars game amount those and tried it out we both decided too much going on with that controller for us, we rented the PS1 with 3 games played that and decided on it for our next console still played a lot of games together PS2 comes out we still play together but unless it’s a sports title like Tiger Woods Golf got a ton of plat out of it or a few minutes of a fighting game it was mostly taking turns. PS3 I bought off a friend so got a good deal but I don’t think I bought more than 10 games and only ever finished 1 game on PS3. I have played on an Xbox some but never really liked the controller so I figured other than emulation or old systems my gaming days were over. Until Intellivision announcement of its return to console manufacturing with a focus on games to be played together that’s why I’ve been such a huge supporter of this project from the start because it’s a return to the gaming style I love I also feel pretty sure as I play it for the first time I’m probably going to cry because it will bring back those memories and feeling of playing games with my dad who passed a few years ago but who I am absolutely sure if he were here would be buying one himself and we would be having weekly gaming sessions at his place
IntelliMission #14892 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) Good story, @Alpha82! And since you mentioned the PS1 and @Starpaddler mentioned games about gliding, I wanted to take the chance and recommend the first Spyro to everyone. Yes, it's 3D, but it's beautiful for the PS1, it has an amazing soundtrack by Steward Copeland and it has some memorable gliding moments to reach some hidden gems. I just assume these people don't have any friends or live in a bubble. Some of my best memories of my early to mid 20's was playing games on the Intellivision with my family and friends. Had some great parties, lots of screaming, yelling, laughing and trash talking. Did some of the same with the Wii. Can't do that with the current game machines, too complicated, too in-depth. Games need to be simple and fun so all can play regardless of their previous gaming experience or abilities. I do not understand why some of these gamers just don't get it. Get off your high horse and plant your feet on the ground.
wolfy62 #14894 Posted April 26, 2020 This is my reproduction box which is just a knock off of the original box for the unreleased version of this game. Although there was speculation that a prototype board version was made for the intellivision, only the box for it ever surfaced anywhere!👍

I love the Intellivision box art,one of the reasons I have collected for it and have always had a preference for physical media. The overlays are cool too,not many systems had those. Great question if another system had better art, certainly comparable I am sure. I do know the intellivision had some very unique games ,thus unique box art because they had very few arcade licenses.
