Intellivision Amico - Tommy Tallarico introduction + Q&A

So I brought this up before to Tommy on how roleplaying games and other types of games could capture a hugh base and possibly be the only console to do this due to the controllers.  These are pictures of a game called Star wars miniatures.  Just for reference.  As you can see the character cards are small and perfect for the screen on the controllers. Couldn't you see this as being a app killer?  Thoughts?

I realized the box art had nothing to do with what you saw on screen, but not much was cooler than seeing a massive store shelf with those boxes. They really sucked me in. So reading about the artwork was a nice treat. They really did a nice job on those graphics.

 

I would have sworn Tommy mentioned a similar book for Intellivision, but I may be mistaken. Maybe that would be part of the history of Intellivision overall.

Yeah.  I reached out to Tim to do an Intellivision version... but he was too busy.  So looking for someone to do it.  All the box covers, overlays, stories, etc. would be AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I've actually shown it to @The Atari Creep and @OEB_Pete.  I swore them to secrecy... but they may be able to comment generally if they think it's cool or not.

Will we see this Imagic game?  It was a European exclusive.  It was also on other consoles at the time.  It's the only Imagic title that did not see a US release.

Yep!  That's the exact paint we're using!  I showed @The Atari Creep a render of the Galaxy Purple console.  Don't want to put words in his mouth... but I believed he was impressed.  

 

Pics will be released over the next few weeks I believe.  It's a tie in with a pre-order at retail.

My wife made in her art/craft class. She used paints to make the logo and stencils to make the wording.,Yes that is me in the picture.

That's what i loved about the original Intellivision controllers. The raised buttons were like reading Braille. I knew exactly where my thumb was at any given time without having to look down at the keypad. (I NEVER used overlays, overlays are for NOOBS!) LOL 😄

And 5.1 could potentially take away from the framerate AND would really multiple the file size by at least 2 or 3 times!  Some of the biggest stuff in our games are the audio files!  Those damn audio guys!!!!!!!!
