IntelliMission #20279 Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) Hey Tommy, I just found your first hater in my country. I think this is good news! It means you're growing. 😆 It's interesting how the arguments are always the same and none of them makes sense: - Tommy is not professional - The project is a kickstarter - Fig.co is the main money collecting method of Intellivision Entertainment - Fig.co is for kickstarters - The virus has not affected Intellivision Entertainment in any way, it's only that they're not being honest with release dates - The $50 prize increase is a deal breaker - Wii Sports looks SO much better than these games. I mean, like SO much better. Like you can't compare. - You can't buy the console in the company's website and that's a terrible sign (with PS5 and XSX is the same but that's not a problem) - We haven't seen the menus or eShop and that's suspicious (again, same with PS5 and XSX, but only a problem for the Amico) Add a few "I used to like Tommy" and "this is not a way to manage a project" here and there and... voilà! First Tommy hater in this famous European country. I explained everything to the guy and he still didn't believe it was not kickstarter (he then brought up fig.co and said that the Amico "should not need that according to my version") But each hater has its own original trademark and in this case this guy was comparing this project with the Evercade, where, among other stuff, all games are already programmed. 🤓 I guess some people just have the need to tear down other's projects for no reason. It makes them feel powerful and special, somehow. Edited July 11, 2020 by IntelliMission 8

Before he worked on the Anno series (Blue Byte). Even one person of Factor 5 contacted him after the steam release and said a very good game. Its a hommage on the games of the 80s... R-Type, Katakis, Gradius and Parodious.... Looks great! Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.

Has your team contacted them and do you think they will take action? No reason for me to expand on my initial comment. Just wanted to agree with the original comment that from a legal standpoint they have in fact crossed the line at this point and should probably be careful about declaring that an SEC listed corporation is scamming investors. They should probably be the ones to consult an attorney to explain to them why. The great thing is that with the few hater trollz that watch here every hour of every day... I know they'll deliver the message. No reason for us to spend money doing it. Hell... they'll be 3 or 4 videos by the end of the day. 5 1

I wanted to say thanks to you and your entire team for reimagining the Intellivision and dreaming up the Amico on such a grand scale. I am always impressed and amazed by anyone's efforts for a new homebrew game or even collectibles based on the Intellivision. The Amico is something way beyond my wildest dreams and obviously it wouldn't be happening without your incredible vision and passion for it. A million thank yous to you and everyone involved in the process of this very exciting project!👍😊 Thanks! Really appreciate the love and support!

bigdaddygamestudio #20287 Posted July 11, 2020 Its gotta be awful and exhausting waking up each day with so much hate. I mean there is a TON of crap in this world to be worried, annoyed, and pissed about, but some old gaming legends wanting to create and release a family friendly gaming console certainly isnt one of them. People are really weird and kinda sad. That's one thing the internet really has brought to light for me. SMH

Exactly! And Emerson named their Arcadia 2001 game Tanks-A-Lot instead. Even Shark! Shark!'s copycat PC game 20 years later "Feeding Frenzy" was a better name. AtariTexas #20290 Posted July 11, 2020 I've always been of the mindset let people make what they want to make, and let people buy what they want to buy. Anything beyond that is just noise

I wonder if there is any way to bribe @CurlyQ to whip up a @Blarneo's "Tanks-A-Lot" Armor Battle cover? A good dad joke deserves better than to be held down by 'the man'.

No joke! I been thinking the same thing. They'll have you stand at the line where they just put together the Amigo and you can sign them as they pass the conveyor belt. Several 20 hour shifts, you should be done with severe hand cramp ;). If you remember opening the Wii, you see how tightly the components are packed into the box. Once you have taken out the stuff, putting them back into the box is much more difficult. I been thinking a spraying printer like they use to date the boxes for food items may be a better idea to save carpel tunnel syndrome. 2 hours ago, Tommy Tallarico said: It's a little more complex than one hardware guy. We have a huge team of folks. 2 just on the main hardware. Teams of firmware people, mechanical engineers, OS engineers, etc., etc... these are all full time employees with full benefits... most of which have been working internally for over a year. We also employee and contract many big outside organizations to do some of the firmware programming as well. Hiring more internal people (instead of using expensive contracting companies) is a sign of GROWTH. Awesome. You definitely know what you're doing.

Hopefully they'll be a little more careful in the future and they will consult a lawyer as to why saying things like that about an SEC listed company is getting themselves into hot water. The SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission) definitely takes that kind of thing very serious. It's one thing to crap on a Kickstarter project or something self funded. But something entirely different when making untrue claims about an officially registered SEC company such as ours. But hey... no reason to stop them now... they are just hanging themselves at this point. No need for us to get involved. There are government organizations that take care of things like this. I’d also think this would violate some T&C’s with YouTube...
speedy-a #20296 Posted July 11, 2020 (edited) I heard the developer of Rigid Force Deluxe today on an Interview Podcast. He made the game in his free time after work. The Voices in the game were from http://lisa-spricht.de/ if you want to contact him: https://www.com8com1.com/games/rigid-force-redux He said everywhere in the game there are homages to the 80`s Shmups and if the game sells well on consoles he can male a DLC cause he still has many Ideas for this shmup. The next game will be something different and will be out earlier cause he has now his own company. He is very proud of the Switch version where he made the game in smooth 60 Frames with the Unity Engine. He said that was hard to make and lot of indie developer fail with smooth 60 Frames on the Switch. His Name is: Marcel Rebensdoft Lutz Osterkorn was the one from Factor 5 that contacted him after he got the game on steam. The console ports have different things that he changed after the steam comments. And Question for Tommy. Do you add white shirts also to the shop soon?
