Relicgamer #23951 Posted October 14, 2020 16 hours ago, LePionnier said: Great Score ! I really like the Demo. The sound and music building depending on where the ball goes, etc. Relicgamer, I don't know what you will think about my next comment (I hope it's constructive comments) When our paddle is firing, I don't like the sound of it ! I would like a sound that could "match" with the music. I am sure with a different sound ( not so sure, should be tested ! lol ) it could be cooler ! Right now I hate it when I am firing. 🥺 It spoils the beautiful relaxing music! My second comment looks more like a question. Could it be a good idea to have a bonus score depending on how many time left to when you finish the level ! (and how many balls are still remain) Sometimes I am doing it rapidly and perfectly and my score is not really good ! Lol Thank you for everyone who can give me their thoughts on those two comments. And don't get me wrong, I really like the game ! 😃 Oh here is a last one ! Could have been cool to control the paddle with the scroll wheel ! (You see Tommy, I can be a good video game tester lol 😉). I have already done it for Eidos ! If you want to send me Amico for December or January I will be ready to test it with my family. I have a 70 year old mother who never played video game ( But she bought me Intellivision II 38 years ago ! ) She also have no computer and no cell phone! I am really curious to see how she will react when I will let her try it with his younger boyfriend ! 🙄 I get what you are saying. It definitely has a sound thats a tad out of tune the the other sounds. Also at 1st I had a problem with the paddle itself. The blurred effect caused me to miss the ball. But after a while I got the hang of it.
jetcogs #23952 Posted October 14, 2020 Tommy, the video of your classic gaming collection was great stuff. (Though I'm actually most jealous of the Baby Pac-Man machine you didn't even talk about!)

+Intellivision Master #23955 Posted October 14, 2020 Tommy, I know you said the Breakout demo didn't work that good on the app using the touch screen. What if it had tilt controls like the Moon Patrol demo? Would that help?

What if it had tilt controls like the Moon Patrol demo? Would that help? I think the Breakout demo on a touchscreen would be fine using your right thumb. The moon patrol demo should be on PC and Breakout should be on mobile. And looks like the breakout demo runs with WINE, if anyone wants to try it on their mac. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amico/comments/jazmn7/the_breakout_demo_works_fine_with_wine_on_linux/ Edited October 14, 2020 by mr_me
IntelliMission #23957 Posted October 14, 2020 Interestingly enough, a famous Youtube podcast with 2 Nintendo fans has ignored the last Amico event for almost 4 days now. The reason? Well, here's my theory: the number of positive surprises shown was so high that going through all that would be a free promotion for Intellivision Entertainment than these guys simply refuse to do. 😇 3
LePionnier #23958 Posted October 14, 2020 Tommy, I really appreciated the Amico Day on 10/10 ! The look at the hardware, also seeing the passion from the people who will produce the machine was great. Everything is done in a really professional way ! 👍 And 10 minutes of gameplay ! WOW ! I wasn't even hoping to see gameplay! I was pleasantly surprised. I was really happy to see Snafoo ! It looks really cool ! And 8 players ! WoW !! Seeing Sesame Street and Care Bears in action was fantastic. I would have loved to have Amico a few years ago for my young children! But I know a lot of families who will be really happy that we finally thought of their young children ! Cloudy Mountain looks more and more promising ! Same thing for Evel Knievel ! And some more games that will need to be played to understand how fun it is when playing them ! 😀 Biplanes was a nice surprised. Looking forward to play it with my son ! And Major League Baseball was the highlight of the show! (Hoping we could play with the Expos ... ?) Concentrating on steering the ball as the pitcher as well as the speed will be very pleasant. ( I hope Google translate helped me with this sentence ! lol ) Can't wait to see some screenshots of what appears on the controller with all of these games! Question : Why Safecraker and Asteroids were not shown ? Will they be ready for launch date ? Thank you !

IntelliMission #23961 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) Are Fall Guys and Among Us possible for the Amico? A quick analysis Fall Guys: This would be possible and very fun, simply by using an isometric 3D perspective that zooms in and out. Among Us: This is also possible using a reduced, single screen 2D map, but being able to see what the others are doing at all times may kill the purpose of the game, which consists in one of the players being the "spy" and having to perform certain tasks in some rooms and the other players having to discover the spy while also performing their own tasks. The screen on the controller could receive all the secret information and tasks, but maybe that's not enough and the game would be too easy. However and as many board games have proved, a similar concept can be successfully done while keeping the mystery in a single board/screen. Fun Fact about Care Bears The European Spanish translation of "Care Bears" is pretty much perfect by choosing two Spanish words that also sound similar: "Osos amorosos" ("Loving Bears"). (Edit: I just learned that the Latin American Spanish translation is "Cariñositos" ("Care-little bears"), merging the words "cariño" ("care") and "osito" (little bear) and omitting one of the os to create an existing, bigger word ("cariñositos" means "little loving ones"). Not bad, but I prefer the European.) Edited October 14, 2020 by IntelliMission

In French (In Quebec, I don't know in France) we are saying Calinours. Calin (Hug) Ours (Bear). 😀 3
woobman #23964 Posted October 14, 2020 Tommy's collection of retro stuff. I kept looking in the background for hints... I was telling my daughter while watching the video - Hey was that Stunt cycle?!?! I loved those controls. Then Tommy came around and made the off handed comment about Wouldn't it be cool to control the Evel Knievel cycle with something like this. Fingers crossed for an ultra special edition of the game with the handlebar controller. on the subject of background hints - Tron.. Tron.. Tron... Tron... Star Wars arcade cabinet... Now that would be a nice retro remake with an AMAZING controller.
IntelliMission #23965 Posted October 14, 2020 (edited) The new Evel Knievel "jumping the canyon" mini-game is a perfect example of how, by adding 4-8 player modes to all games, many people looking for quick multiplayer experiences will buy just about every game available. +Intellivision Master #23967 Posted October 14, 2020 Wouldn't it be something if there was a lightsaber controller for an Amico Star Wars game? The game would have motion controls and using the lightsaber controller you hack and slash your way to victory. I'd be all for it as long as the motion controls are good & the game is fun.
+Intellivision Master #23968 Posted October 14, 2020 Tommy, What about a game based on Greek mythology for Amico? Such as Achilles, Hercules & Odysseus? Also, what about having a game based on Sinbad? Not the actor, but the movies, like the 7th Voyage of Sinbad? Or perhaps something from original Clash of the Titans? Also, is there any update on more Imagic games coming to Amico?

What I notice more and more is that the two guys are extremely conservative and simple-minded. For example, they didn't understand the potential of the LEDs in the console. What I find especially interesting in the concept of the Amico is, that with the LEDs on the console and the LEDs and displays on the controllers the console and the controllers themselves can become part of the game.
