What are your top 5 most anticipated games for Amico? They don’t have to be part of the first wave  of games.

1. Horse Racing my dad and I played this game together a ton and I’m excited to have a chance to play it again, plus my grandma played a few races of Horse Racing on Intellivision with me and she is excited to try the new one.  I kind of hope that the horses are colored like the ones in The Emerald City in Oz because I think having red, purple, and pink horses available would be a lot of fun.

2. Night Stalker I’m a huge horror fan been watching scary movies since I was 5 and am excited for this game for that creepy atmosphere.

3. Snafoo my step brother and I played this game together a lot so I’m very excited to have a chance to play a new version.

4. Burgertime I was never great at this game but I’m looking forward to playing an updated version because it was so fun and the best version I ever got to play was the Intellivision one.

5. Earthworm Jim I’ve never gotten very far in the original games but love the humor of them.

Ugh this is so hard, I am going to list the games I am most curious about and want to play ASAP, instead of games I know more about and already know I am going to like (i.e. Evel Knievel, Moon Patrol, Night Stalker, etc). I am not even sure these are in the right order, but here goes:

1. Cloudy Mountain (The rare casual RPG, I want to see what they add and what they purposefully leave out - plus if ever in doubt of my most anticipated game, check the avatar ;))

2. Earthworm Jim (return of a classic franchise, with an original & all-star team & a new platform to show it off in - could be magic)

3. Flying Tigers (I know Tommy is going to pour a lot of love into this one, can't wait to see more)

4. B-17 Bomber (can see lots of coop multiplayer modes manning the different stations of the plane battling fuel, flak & fighters, think this could be a coop classic)

5. Utopia (perhaps the father of graphical god games (or at least darn close) and I am hoping this is the start of several casual strategy games for the Amico).

With the physical media, what if certain stores get different cover art for the games?  Such as a steel book edition at Best Buy.  Then the same game at Walmart would have another edition.  I don't know, it could happen that way.

Good god that is going to kill me if they do that!  The collector in me will want to get every version, 2 of each.  One to open and one to keep sealed, lol.

That doesn't mean they won't stop improving it.  Just like everything else they will continue to improve the firmware after release as well.

I’m counting on that.

The whole lag complaint over the last few months got me to thinking about other systems. My 360 had lag when I first got it. And a few controllers later, and a few 360's later.. I had the same thing happened again. Even after multiple firmware updates. and Hardware revisions. My Xbone had it. The fix?  Update the firmware.

After doing a VERY rudimentary search  I came across an article on "latency" with the Series X controller.  The fix? Firmware. close to 300 people said they were having the  same issue. Loads of other articles out there. But I thought this one was a good example. Straight from Microsoft.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/xba_wowpc-xba_gowpc/series-xs-controller-has-severe-input-latency/82cecae3-3b2d-4028-a5a8-44697fbc6de3

There are similar articles for the PS5.. But my favorite one has a different kind of solution: OVERCLOCK your controller.

https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/677024-ps5-controller-overclocking-how-to-overclock-dualsense-gamepad

For the Switch.. There were also similar articles. But the big issue that actually got a fair amount of coverage was the Joycon Drift. No need to send links.

I would assume that they get lag issues every few 100K consoles out there as they cannot test in every type of environment and scenario.

What I'm getting at is, I expect to see a few complaints about lag when the Amico finally hits shelves. It's inevitable. Most likely the "fix" will not be to overclock. My guess is it will be to do a firmware update. I'm hoping this will be simple. Although an advanced menu with some cool options for us geeks would be fun.  Speaking of inevitable, the same people harping  on lag over the last few months will have the "See... I told you so" videos.  Just a guess on my part.

Lots to catch up on!  Been slammed like crazy working on the big E3 video presentation.

Can't wait for everyone to see it!

I'll be back to answer questions and join in on the conversations over the next few days.  In the meantime...

Check out the cover art piece for our Moon Patrol physical product!

I can't wait to show people our approach to physical game products. It's a unique idea with a LOT of really cool benefits that haven't really been done before.

More info and a big reveal coming later this year.

It will be great to see what you have up your sleeve in the E3 video! I look forward to it.

Same with the approach to physical media..  Hope to see Tron box art soon.  Hint hint.... :)

Another piece of awesome box art!!!! All have had a certain design language. I call it the The Picture in Picture look. They have all been very reminiscent of a good deal of the original Intellivision games.  With a slight nod to Atari on Missile Command. While not all INTV games had that same Picture in Picture look, they did break it up a bit. Burger Time and Space Battle are two that had a single frame only. I wonder if the Amico will follow suit?

I've never experienced controller lag with any of my consoles, from the Sega Master System to the latest Xbox, but my Series X randomly has a horrible sound delay. When it does this I just turn it off and find something else to do. The delay is 1-2 full seconds.

This is my favorite so far. You could probably sell posters of these boxes in the website store.

What's great is, unlike the 70's and 80's, this time around the game graphics will look like the cover art.

I reread what I wrote. I had to go through a number of 360's as My Day 1 360 Red Ringed. Got it back. Did it again a while later. Microsoft did take care of it.. Sort of. After number 3 did it, I bought a 2nd. (Later model).  I noticed that after I got the new one's back from MS, the lag would show up until I updated my firmware on the controller. Did I mention that the newer one failed too. LOL. My 2 Original xbox's.. Are still going like gangbusters. My XBONE has had the disc insertion problem. Have to tilt the machine on an incline for it to use the disc. But that does not prevent the game from runniing.

I like your solution much better!!!! Doesn't work? Get up.. Do something else.  From Error to decision... 1-2 seconds.. I don't consider that lag.. I consider that smart!!! The I have to find out why portion of my brain made me try and figure a way around it..  Not driving me crazy. Puzzle solving. Just ate up a bunch of time. AND the answers usually present themselves a few days later.

Coincidentally, some of the new Tesla's can go from 0-60 in 1.1 to1.9 seconds. Depending on the model. Same amount of time as your decision! vroom!!!

Oh no, the first couple of times I drove myself crazy trying to research and figure the problem out independently. No luck, but I've found that when I simply walk away for a while it seems to resolve without driving me nuts.

The artwork for these physical releases looks fantastic!  Remember the lame artwork for the early Sega Master System Games?  I do--I grew up with it!

I loved the Sega Master System. I had a lot of favorites on there. Especially Zillion, My Hero and The Ninja. I haven't played Zillion or My Hero in years, but I can still hear the music in if I think about them.

With Tommy and the Intellivision team releasing the terrific cover artwork for Moon Patrol... hey, I was excited to add it to the imaginary game box series!

I know that the game cases and format are going to be a bit different to this but making the designs just keeps my enthusiasm going in the run-up to launch :-).
