CMC Atari 8” Disk Drive Controllers

All I can say at the moment is wonderful. You can bet I have an ear to ear smile on my face as I type this and look at the pictures.. You keep hitting them out of the park. Amazing!

I sure hope you have mirrors and back ups of your site. We don't want any of this lost to time again. :)

Thank you for this once again.

A very happy fellow Atarian,

I found the Two (2) 6502's interesting.

It looks like the PIA below the 2 CPUs is for an unpopulated parallel printer port?

Since I don't see a UART, that means this is a software controlled bit-banger. If the CPU clock is fast enough on this, then we may be able to go fast. (UltraSpeed).

Hello Curt,

Did you testing any 8 inches floppy drives with that daughter card for Atari 8 bits ? Ever work ? Have shown on the screen display ?

That's a pretty nice, straightforward design there. From the looks of it, it supports double sided drives. Output is inverted (1795), so it should be readable with ATR8000, for example... very nice..a nice clean way to get 4004 sectors :D :)
