PAL rarity on a few games

Just a question to 7800 PAL collectors out there what they think the rarity on these 5 games are. These games Ive hardly seen, or never seen at all come up in all my years of collecting. They might be more common in Europe, but here in Australia you never see them.

Impossible Mission: Ive never seen this game ever come up in my searches over here. I have a loose copy which I bought from Europe, and Ive never seen a boxed copy.

Fatal Run: Same as above, never seen one ever over here, bought a loose cart from Europe, never seen a boxed copy.

Midnight Mutants: seen 1 loose copy come up on eBay here, thats it, never seen a boxed copy.

Planet Smashers: As above, seen 1 loose copy come on eBay, never seen a boxed copy.

Cracked: Seen 1 copy on eBay but could have been NTSC, never seen a boxed copy.

Are the PAL versions of these games more uncommon than NTSC, or is it just a regional thing? Thanks for any info ?

Might be more regional. I recall Crack'ed and Planet Smashers turning up occasionally. I got a boxed Impossible Mission years ago and found Midnight Mutants available (several copies) but too expensive when I last looked for it.

The "less sought after" carts always seem to be around plentifully on Ebay. Just check Ebay.de or Ebay.co.uk

Impossible mission is fairly common here. I've seen a few boxed ones appear from time to time. Loose carts are around £5-£8 easily.

Midnight mutants is usually available. But going rate is around the £35 Mark.

Interestingly is that copies of commando are not hard to acquire here. if you want one for £25 -£35 they are around.

I was lucky to get one for £15 a month ago.

NTSC copies of commando appear rarer (going from ebays availability)

Mean 18 here is less than £10, where it appears rarer in NTSC from the AA list and EBay.

Ya, that is the hard one to get in NTSC format. The PAL one is common as dirt, the NTSC one is in my opinion the rarest 7800 title released by Atari, if not the rarest overall for the 7800. Yes, that means I think Mean 18 NTSC CIB is of greater rarity than Tank Command. The NTSC box for Title Match is also super rare.

I buy my PAL collection from the entire world, buying from US, Germany, Italy, France and a few others.

Out of those, Midnight Mutants is the only one I don't have. Loose copies come up now and again but boxed is rarer. Tbh, the price puts me off so I'll probably delay as long as possible, there is a few cheaper ones I still need to grab that aren't common either: Ms Pac Man, MotoPsycho etc.

Edit:MP isn't particularly rare here, I just haven't got it yet. Games like planet smashers and cracked are fairly common. In fact, games I struggled to find earlier in my collection is now common like Xevious, Galaga, Dig Dug etc. Donkey Kong seems quite rare though, but Junior is common.

Impossible Mission, Cracked and Planet Smashers are all still fairly common here in the UK. I got IM sealed for sensible money recently. Not sure about Fatal Run, but Midnight Mutants doesn't pop up as often and when it does, it's starting to get to get expensive.
