Black Knight: Sword of Rage Announced

Recommended Posts

For fans of Steve Ritchie's original Black Knight games, you'll probably be interested in this. Full reveal will happen sometime tomorrow; if I'm lucky, I'll get to play this one on Wednesday if Stern decided to bring it to a a trade show in Vegas:

Amazing! What company is putting out these Williams inspired pins? Whoops...I see its Stern.

Pinball just seems to be getting more and more popular these days. I won't question it, but it's great to see. A barcare opened up nearby and it has eight pins, some real classics from bitd. I finally got to play Medieval Madness!

Stern Pinball, and they just added it to their site. They licensed this particular title from Williams (who is obviously no longer making pins). And the original designer of Black Knight and Black Knight 2000 created this pin as well (Steve Ritchie). He also designed the great Star Trek: The Next Generation pinball next to my BK2K in the photo above...

To the surprise of nobody, Black Knight pinballs have been showing up for sale on my local craigslist. I'm guessing the price of 'em went up. Prices don't go down in pinball land.

Either way, BKSOR looks like fun, provided it's not the pro version which has no upper playfield. A no-upper-playfield BK game is not BK to me.
