I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Darius, but Taito has announced that they are releasing The Darius Cozmic Collection for Nintendo Switch!

Cool that it is coming out here (I imported it already), but I was slightly disappointed because the limited edition actually came with more games.

I look forward to an actual announcement, but won't hold my breath. However, owning this on the Switch is easier than finding the actual cabinets. (Trying to find them in this country is like finding a tiny diamond in a pile of waste rock.)

This is getting a digital release in Japan. Hopefully it jumps the Pacific and makes it out on our eShop, but at least it's easy to make purchases outside your region on this system.

 

There will be two digital editions. While still pretty pricey, the "cheaper" edition will be roughly $50 and includes the arcade games listed below. And for $10 more you can get the home versions.

Doesn't look like the Amazon Japan exclusive bonus game Sagaia (Game Boy) is going to be included that Japanese consumers were able to get for preordering the physical release. But perhaps if this comes west (Hopefully priced at a more sensible $30), they'll toss that in as well.

that's pretty neat!  I only played Darius Twin on the SNES, but i can appreciate a good SHMUP.

I hope we can buy just the "missing" games digitally. I bought the standard physical edition from Play Asia, and didn't fully understand it was missing the home versions of everything.
