UCSD Pascal for the Geneve

I can't remember. Did anything get worked out so 9640 Guys can run UCSD Pascal on the Geneve?

ISTR that Dr. Coffey figured out what needed to be set properly in the runtime program to allow it to work (using all of the /4A disks). I believe it may even be up on WHT (on one of the 9640 News disks?).

If we are talking about the Psystem, the 9640 News disks would not have the information.

 

Tim may know a bit more as I have seen some references someone added (presumably Tim) late 90's or early 2000's when I was doing other non TI stuff.

Beery might be referring to the PSYS command that I added, which modifies the manner in which TTYOUT outputs one or two of the formatting control codes. As I recall Mike M. had it running on his Geneve; I just checked the platter that I was given back then and I see nothing related to pascal on it. Seems to me there was a need to mount the disks or convert them to make them work with the Geneve? Sorry,I don't remember much else....

I know the pSystem runtime was released, and as noted, I think it was done by Jerry Coffey. I'll have to look around to see if I have it somewhere, but I'm pretty sure I got it from WHT at some point. I just looked there and found what I think is it in the Geneve MDOS directory. Just look for the PSYSTEM folder.

If you or someone else figures out how to run the PSYSTEM, and what files are needed, please post. It's been way too long...…..

It should be just the runtime program and one of the pSystem disks inserted into drive 1. . .I'm pretty sure it auto-launches once you start the runtime, just like it does on the /4A.

I might be mixing memories here, though it seems to me you could (had to?) mount the disks. Maybe that was only for running them from a hard drive device, as I seem to recall Mike copying the disks into an image much like an emulate file.
