DavidMil
I'm trying to load Broderbund's, 'Serpent's Star', but Ape won't even 'see' the first disk. I can see the other three disk images just fine. When I look at the downloaded and unzip file (from Atari Mania) it says that Disk A is an 'APE Protected Disk Image'. So how can I load this image into my SIO2PC adapter (USB)? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, DavidsMil
Wrathchild
The first disk, if copy protected, would be an ATX and not an ATR. An unprotected ATR can be found, for example, in Farb's work. For this particular title, playing via a single ATR would give a better experience by eliminating the disk swapping.
DavidMil
Opps. My bad. I didn't even notice it was an ATX file. Sorry. David PS. Believe it or not, I actually enjoy all the disk swaps. Makes it feel more like, 'back in the day'. There's a DLL needed (VAPI.dll maybe?) that allows APE to read copy-protected files. This might get you started: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/252191-vapi-library-source-code/
