gorfcadet
I vidcapped this game twice because I started to review it and thought, nope, Im being negative; come back to it. So what do you guys think? I can deal with weird; its the lack of danger that really bothers me. Of course that would just make the controls even more bothersome. To me, its a fidget spinner posing as a video game. Edited April 1, 2019 by gorfcadet
+save2600
For April Fools, you should have given this turd a glowing review!

Dauber
I would love this game so much if it used the paddle controller.
+davidcalgary29
I would love this game so much if it used the paddle controller. Well, let's look at the XE port. Controls: fixed. Game: still sucks.
DracIsBack
I’m not all that bothered by Jinks. Not that I think it’s good, but that it’s fashionable to hate on. I’d happily take it over Karateka or Fight Night or Touchdown Football or Mat Mania Challenge
BydoEmpire
I've never played Jinx, but after the video I actually want to.
gorfcadet
For April Fools, you should have given this turd a glowing review! Can't believe I didn't think of that!!!!! You are a genius. Well I guess I'll save Mat Mania for next 4/1.
gorfcadet
I've never played Jinx, but after the video I actually want to. You should, just to have the experience. I'm really surprised AVGN hasn't teed off on this one.
+cvga
I've never played Jinx, but after the video I actually want to. Me too. I had no idea that it has a breakout theme. Love the videos!
Jinks
When I joined Atariage I called myself that as a joke.. haha
gorfcadet
When I joined Atariage I called myself that as a joke.. haha I was legit worried you'd be angry at me review because of the name! Maybe Jinks is the game that has no fans after all?
+save2600
I have it for the Amiga... and while the color palette, graphics and gameplay are a little better, not something I ever want to play. It's just part of the collection as a curiosity or conversation piece alongside Tower Toppler. Where both are best "admired" from afar than actually playing. phattyboombatty
Jinks: sidescrolling, slow pinball that is lame with pink backgrounds. But the reproduction sound of arcade Atari Gauntlet quarter-insertion is cool!
VintageGamer74
Wow!?!? I've played a lot of games in my life. Some of were great/good and some were bad/terrible but that doesn't look fun at all. Maybe I'm missing something but even watching the review was painful ?
Trebor
While not as painfully bad overall, Jinks does share at least one thing in common with Touchdown Football. The title screen opening is the best part of the game. Maybe Jinks is the game that has no fans after all? Historically, at least two people placed it in their top 5. Drelen
I've never played Jinx, but after the video I actually want to. Me too, I enjoy a good bad B movie at times and this feels like it could be similar to that experience.
Jess Ragan
It just seems kind of pointless. Once you finish a stage, you're taken to an "interlude," and you can select one of the game's four stages, even if you've already beaten them. Shouldn't the goal be finishing all four stages? What if you accidentally bounce the ball into a stage you've already visited? Shouldn't completed stages be grayed out, or not shown at all? Where's the sense of progression? No progression to keep it real. What about your score. Do you not want to get that polaroid of you with a mouthfull of cheesies standing by your tube tv showing off that high score? Your buddies will be sooo impressed. Rad!
