Help ID SNES golf game please!

Recommended Posts

Hey all- picked up a working but bare SNES for $4 yesterday (cables/controller extra) & grabbed the wrong golf game by accident- PGA Tour Golf by EA which I think stinks (I have the better PGA Euro Tour for the Genny). I barely recall a good one from years ago...there were no human players, no commentary, & just a single full course. It was still areally good game! I recall the graphics were really sharp & crisp, but I can't place the name or maker. Please help a "new" SNES owner out!

Wailiae CC, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and Mean 18, are low-res 3D games, so i wouldnt say they have crisp graphics, but then again, they might.

Could the game be Hal's Hole in One Golf?

Yes, you couldn't do flyovers & it wasn't 3D- I'm sure it's not Wailiae or Mean 18, as they're memorable names; could be Pebble Beach, & Hole-in-One seems vaguely familiar. I'll return PGA Tour today & look for it. Keep any other suggestions coming!

I enjoy PGA Tour II, but never had played the first one. Is PGA Euro Tour that much better?

I meant PGA Euro Tour for the Genny is better than SNES PGA Tour IMO. The graphics seem smoother on the Sega version, especially the ball physics. The SNES has a profound jerky/choppy motion when following the ball in-flight. Other than that, they're virtually the same game. PGA Euro Tour has 5 courses:

Crans-sur-Sierre (Switzerland)

Forest of Arden (England)

Le Golf National (France)

Valderrama (Spain)

Wentworth Club (England)
