Is it normal for a Commodore 1702 monitor to take about 15 seconds to warm up and provide a picture when turning on? Does this mean it is at its end of life? shoestring #5 Posted April 4, 2019 15 is too long. In the old days CRTs took awhile to warm up because they used vacuum tubes. Is the brightness weak on the monitor ? Could be bad caps in the power supply section.
