Attic find of 30+ years sitting / I need to test this stuff and sell it.

Can someone tell me what I need to buy to test this stuff

I have cables and adaptors. They all turn on.so I guess a monitor. If anyone can tell me what I should ask. Please let me know - I just want these in the hands of someone that wants to use them.

Just need to figure out what works

I actually have the boxes as well for one 800, one 800xl, the printer and the disk drive.

Find a VCR with composite video out. You should be able to connect RF from the computers to the VCR, then have the VCR output over composite to a modern TV.

Other than that, you'll want some disk images and floppy disks to make sure that the drive is working, and some quick work in BASIC can test the printer.

Most TVs still have a composite input on them so you ought to be able to connect directly to a screen.

Do you need a floppy disk? I can format one for you and mail it to you. PM me if you're interested.

If you don't have composite on your TV, just go get a free 13 inch CRT TV off Craigslist with RF input (the old cable TV input). A few LCDs, like mine, also still have RF. They're small and becoming rare enough to look cool in the corner.

Cross reference the 800xl serial numbers with the box - boxes also have the serial number, and some of the more hardcore collectors will prefer a matching set.
