Rick Dangerous #2 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) If anyone has a better suggested game mode idea; feel free to let me know; this one may have to be a marathon score run similar to Cybermorph. Still; will be fun to revisit this game for the first time in a few years. Great soundtrack and eye candy. I really enjoy this game but plenty of people hate it so; YMMV as always. Major Havoc 2049 #3 Posted April 29, 2019 I-War is a hidden gem in the Jaguar's library, IMO. I ignored I-War when it first came out and then played it at a buddie's house a couple years after release and was surprised how fun it was. I went strait down to Kay-Bee Toys and bought a dirt cheap brand new copy for like $5.

I had friends, and I had a Jaguar. But once I bought that Jaguar, half of my friends stopped talking to me, and the other half only stuck around 'cause they liked to make fun of Checkered Flag. I can't imagine having a friend with a Jag. On topic, I never played I-War until last night. I've heard good things about it and it looks like it could be fun. jblenkle #5 Posted April 30, 2019 I-War - 4,250 No clue what I'm doing or how to play this game!!!
+Cobra Kai #6 Posted April 30, 2019 How about we play it on Hard, so it makes it less likely to turn into an all day marathon. And/or you could also require everyone to use the light tank?

doctor_shred #8 Posted May 4, 2019 Ok, here's my first contribution, played on hard with the light tank: 101532. I don't remember playing this a great deal when I picked it up cheap many years ago. I actually like the visual style, it's like a psychedelic Tron

+Cobra Kai #10 Posted May 4, 2019 278,591 I didn't have time to snap a picture, and I don't see that high score screen. Sorry. Guess I should have paused it after I lost my last life to snap the score. edit: finally saw the game cycle to the high score table, and no wonder I didn't get to enter my name, whoever owned this cartridge before me must have loved this game, tons of scores already entered in the millions of points. It's all good, I may have another play in me yet.
doctor_shred #11 Posted May 5, 2019 Next attempt: 283,831 Does anyone know how many levels this game has? I've got a feeling I've never got anywhere near the end of this game, especially if it's possible to rack up millions of points.
+Cobra Kai #12 Posted May 5, 2019 257,838 That's my official entry. Scratch my previous score even though it's higher.

Major Havoc 2049 #16 Posted May 10, 2019 Anyone else really dig that cool spinning Imagitec/Atari logo on the title screen?
doctor_shred #17 Posted May 10, 2019 It's a good title screen all round My next attempt: 378,654. This game is definitely above average for a Jag title. The level design is quite clever and I like the upgradable weapons systems. It has more depth than Cybermorph but I slightly prefer Hoverstrike CD as an overall package. Then, of course, there is Skyhammer...
