Guest #4 Posted April 29, 2019 but we can't see inside that joystick box can we? my guess is the joystick is made from manna found inside the Arc of the Covenant
+Tillek #5 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) But this truly is rare! I've never seen an auction for a 1050 and that specific joystick (box included!) and likely never will again! Once in a lifetime! Literally! You totally should "Buy It Now"!!!!!!!!! Edited April 29, 2019 by Tillek
griff3125 #6 Posted April 29, 2019 I somehow prefer that over the people that charge $200+ for shipping.
Wrathchild #7 Posted April 29, 2019 Now if it WERE a 1088XLD then that would be a different kettle of fish
+DrVenkman #8 Posted April 29, 2019 Now if it WERE a 1088XLD then that would be a different kettle of fish If it were, it would be under-priced, lol. I repurposed a dead drive case, and chips from several spare/partially-working parts machines, but had to buy the UAV, the U1MB, the S2 wavetable synth module, and all the rest of the hardware, plus all my own time and effort to build it, and just dropped another >$50 for the custom-machined aluminum front panel.
Wrathchild #9 Posted April 29, 2019 Definitely on my 'dream' list as its just a work of art but would certainly need a builder (preferably in the UK) and a hugely successful garage sale
Rybags #10 Posted April 30, 2019 I actually paid almost that for mine new in 1984. $450. My parents picked it up for me while in Sydney, and they scammed them into getting an Infocomm sampler disk which they said I'd like but in reality probably booted up once ever. And no, didn't get a controller with it either.
+Tillek #11 Posted April 30, 2019 See, if you had that controller, you would have enjoyed the Infocom games so much more.
RodLightning #12 Posted April 30, 2019 The seller is sure someone into that kind of stuff will shell out for this 1050 and know how to get a game going on it in no time. After all, it does say "ATARI" on it. I may have put more thought into it just now that the seller ever did. At least he listed it as make offer. +DavidMil #13 Posted April 30, 2019 There is no mention of a power supply or SIO cable. Nor has it apparently been tested in any way. DavidMil
Rybags #14 Posted April 30, 2019 Those inclusions would send the price over a grand, which might become unappealing for some people.
Mclaneinc #15 Posted April 30, 2019 I'm waiting for the refund request because the buyer can't connect the joystick to it and there was no lead for the TV picture..
