Reaperman
Are there any channels with a blatant Neo Geo bias? basement brothers (neo alec) is working his way through the library a game at a time with way more depth and info than required. Highly recommended. scarlet sprites has a great mix of videos of interest, with a heavy lean to neo geo. project coe does a lot of modern stuff these days, but his "aca" reviews are all neo geo. I'm pretty sure all three of them are running around this forum. Edited May 5, 2019 by Reaperman
+GoldenWheels
Game Sack without Dave is going to be like BNL without Steven Page or Cheers without Shelley Long. It's missing the best part. I like MLiG, ModernVintageGamer, CGQ (and CGQ+), and LGR, but generally I don't do too much YouTubin'. I liked Joe and Dave's interplay, but to me, the strength of GS was never the semi-awkward talking sections, or the (delightfully) lame end sequences. It's Joe's knowledge, researching, and video editing ability. I hope Joe keeps the momentum going--sometimes losing your partner puts some water on the fire, sometimes it can rekindle it. I always wished they'd do an Atari system that WASN'T a Jaguar. I don't know if they don't want to got that far back or if they just dislike Atari.

I don't think that they dislike Atari so much as they're not into pre-NES console gaming. I've noticed that they only cover NES era and beyond.
DJ Clae
Joe is Game Sack, so it should be okay without Dave, though I will miss Dave's friendly and honest reviews, as well as the banter between the pair. Thanks for the mention, Reaperman. These threads always make me sad about what I feel certain our channel could've been. My two brothers agreed to team up with me because we thought we stood more of a chance together, but they didn't share my thirst to create content. It's difficult to go on alone, especially considering the ridiculous amount of free time making videos eats up.

It's difficult to go on alone, especially considering the ridiculous amount of free time making videos eats up. I've been loving your Neo Geo videos DJ. Watching you complete and break down the Neo Geo's library is great, and beats most of the reviews I've watched/read; I often question if the reviewer even got close to beating the game (recent ACA Neo Geo reviews are a good example of this). Using the Neo Geo's product numbers is an excellent way to do the series. Not to steal your thunder, but I may revive my YouTube channel and do something very similar for Neo Geo Pocket games, if there's interest. Even if I never get to my own project, thank you for the inspiration and I hope to see you continue content creation on your own because you're killing it right now. Also continue because King of the Monsters is one of my favorite Neo Geo games, and I'd love to have a video to link people whenever they tell me its gameplay is braindead!
Tanooki
^^This entirely, best reviewer of Neo Geo games and including their history on facebook, a SNK loving version of Nintendo + Jeremy Parish level coverage going on there like his (System) Works projects. Duke75
A few channels I like that don't get a lot of notice: Pete Davison: https://www.youtube.com/user/ejaypierre/featured. I don't have much interest in his "Moe Gamer" stuff, but he's doing this concept called Atari A-Z, in which he picks an Atari 800 game, an Atari ST game, and a game from the Atari Flashback release on the Switch based on the first letter of the game's title, and plays through it a bit, giving some information and a review of it along the way. Pixelmusement/Ancient DOS Games: https://www.youtube.com/user/Pixelmusement/featured. What is sounds like: reviews of old DOS games. I wish the guy had a better vocal delivery (he's a middle-aged guy who sounds like a teenybopper in some ways), but he gives decent reviews and footage of the games. Sharopolis: https://www.youtube.com/user/sharop/videos. He's not very prolific, but he does videos on obscure systems. If you want to see what games on the Tatung Einstein look like, he's got a short video on it. Atari Archives: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo_f7y6sBDmFnGbZoq1Ce_w/videos. Basically an Atari 2600 version of what Jeremy Parish does.

I didn't recognize Sharopolis from the name alone, but looks like I'm already a subscriber. Thanks for sharing!
+Charlie Cat
Hi guys, For me, I like channels that interact mostly with their subscribers and guest that pass by to see their works. At first, I look for Neo-Geo content to share on the Neo-Geo thread. After establishing myself with the publisher, I contribute back by subscribing and be a regular onto their channel. So after, many come over here onto Atariage. About 95% enlist and become active members. I actually have a bunch to add,and many are already members to Atariage before I written to them. Here's my small list so far for all to see. Not only do they do great Neo-Geo reviews, they have superb choices of titles and units that they share for all of the gaming community to enjoy. CGQuarterly
I'm not into the whole suck up run of talking heads who are basically in it for the attention and free stuff to review or ramble on about. ...I consider what they do more a service, like an amateur hour version of what you'll get on paid TV channels. Those prattlers that try and get attention, freebies, and suck up fans to follow for subs like hancock, gamester, cinemassacre, and the rest can jump off a cliff into a bottomless pit for all I care as they do more harm than good. Yup I have no tolerance really for pathological attention whores on youtube, as I said, they do more damage than any good. And I didn't just mean to the hobby which is primarily the case, but also to themselves and either don't realize it or do and are in denial because of the rush it gives the lot of them. Wow you have a game wall, he deserves a cookie. Wow you at least twice mentioned you panhandle on (patreon, KS or their ilk, amazon donation, etc) aren't you awesome you found a way better than standing at the end of a freeway offramp. It was nice a decade ago or less by a bit, but it turned into just sucking off subs to get attention and begging for coins like an online vagrant doing nothing anyone else couldn't do either given the camera and funding spitting out the same known junk 30min on google could help produce. So yeah as golden said, he didn't want to be the mean one, but I have no reason not to be about it as it's been a big damaging ride with little good out of it other than those rarer non-human sponge types who put out some really good research, really good production values, they don't get all crazy about sucking up doing it minimally or perhaps showing they have other angles (like Parish's *SYSTEM* Works hardback book volumes to parrot the youtube work.) There's this line of giving back, actually giving a larger damn about it, and putting something of good actual informative use out there, and then there's the dramatically vast majority who are attention whores and coin begging camera prostitutes basically and it's just sad. If you're doing it right, you shouldn't have to beg, your viewers should be offering instead and it shouldn't be begged for or worse, expected, and such works should grow larger beyond the confines of youtube to show that value. This is exactly why I started a YouTube channel. Was it that obvious?
