unebonnevie
Hi all, I've searching high and low for the EagleCAD library for the Atari SIO connector. Basically, I am looking the library part that would pads like a cartridge pads and is as board that would insert between the rows of pins of the Atari's 8-bit computers' SIO male connector port. Yep, a poor-man's solution to having Atari SIO connectivity. Something like the picture attached. Thanks!
ricortes
Old post, does the program allow you to rotate parts placement? SIO connector is just standard .100 spacing rotated 45 degrees. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/233786-sio-pin-spacing-perf-board-follies/?hl=%2Bricortes+%2Bsio&do=findComment&comment=3157180 PS, you need to use a slightly larger hole diameter. spinnaker15136
Can't stand Eagle CAD but I have made my own components in DipTrace many times. I am sure Eagle CAD has similar tools. Not hard to do at all in Diptrace. I can't speak for Eagle CD.
Daedalus2097
Yep, it's pretty straightforward to create your own components in Eagle too (or, at least 7, which is the latest version I've used).
_The Doctor__
with all the other solutions now available why mess with this never quite right idea? Better of choosing any of the 3D printed solutions
Kyle22
This looks suspiciously like another guy's design that was kicked off of AtariAge for Harassment and Malfeasance. Lotharek has a good one, Look here: https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=108
