Polish.Gasoline
I have a light sixer and it won't turn on. The voltage regulator got fried. I'm just curious how to fix this on the pcb. It got burnt after I used a crappy soldering iron trying to attach an led. Yes, if there is any way to remedy this let me know. The screen flashes as soon as I put power to the wall after that nothing. It's been a learning experience folks.

Polish.Gasoline
7805 +5V VOLTAGE REGULATOR 3-PIN TO-220 MC7805ACTG 5V? Does it make a difference which 7805 I use? Also what would be a good guide for making my own composite mod? I wouldn't mind making one similar to best electronics. +Stephen Moss
As long as the regulator is a 7805 in a TO220 package and not the lower current 78L05 in a TO92 package you should be ok (although I always found the voltage regulation on those made by ST to be poor)
Polish.Gasoline
The second one right? Your numbers don't match up to the second one. May be a dumb question but I'm the one ordering the part. Edited May 16, 2019 by Polish.Gasoline
+Stephen Moss
Either of the two 7805's listed at the top of the web page will do. Personally, I would go for the MC7805ACTG, although it has the lowest current capabilities of the three (still twice what you need) that means it also has the best regulation and ripple rejection for a smoother supply voltage.
