Coming soon to Intellivision: AARDVARK

Recommended Posts

That looks like a very fun game and the Aaardvark is a very unique to the Intellivision character!

What's not to love?

Well,I just looked it up,and the game was made for a couple computers back in the day.

I had never heard of it,looks great!🙂

Awesome, Oils Well style with a much more pleasing visual twist!

Both Oil's Well and then Aardvark were inspired by the 1982 arcade game Anteater.

I really like how the aardvark walking is animated, very well done.

Want, want, want! I loved Oil's Well back in the day and still play it on the Colecovision from time to time.

The animation was done by Nathan Strum, he is a professional animator.

The sun/moon sprite moving behind the background is a nice touch. It was an advanced feature of the system and nice to see it used.

The video is a good demo, however I can't get a feel for how easy it will be to control the tongue, without using an actual controller. I know that it took some work to smoothen out the controls for the Atari 2600 version and IMO, that version is excellent.

Thanks for making an INTV version too. :)

does this guy show up in any level ?

No chance, unless an Intellivision fan is also a United Artists licensor and gives us written permission.
