0078265317 #1 Posted June 9, 2019 Picked up a ps 1 classic today at bestbuy for 20 dollars and 91 cents after return and 5 dollar rewards. They had 4 left. Want to open it just to play the games I never did bitd. But I was tempted to get one after they went down to 30 dollars. Not just because of the price. But someone here said hurry because once they are gone... And they wont be re stocked. So I started thinking. Now even ebay is not bad. But like nes and snes classic prices shot up after they said no more were being made. Or since it was bad to begin with emulation issues and all it wont be worth much even after it goes off shelves. Or if I get another one for 30 dollars and keep it sealed for 30 years it will be worth a lot more. Or just play with it now as long as I keep the box and everything. Or once the seal is broken it wont be worth anything even in 20 years.
DragonGrafx-16 #2 Posted June 9, 2019 Open... the PS Classic is so bad unmodded it's not going to have any value and Sony cranked the things out... I remember seeing a huge stack of them at Best Buy near Christmas last year...

jhd #4 Posted June 11, 2019 They are not hard to find, at least around here -- prices have not dropped significantly, and stores still have piles of them on the shelf.
godslabrat #5 Posted June 11, 2019 *Produced in enormous numbers *Massively unpopular Conclusion: even years from now, you will not have a problem finding NIB units secondhand. It might actually be more difficult to find used units for sale.
