New Section for VCS

Recommended Posts

Are there any plans to make a new forum section for the new Atari VCS console? It is technically an Atari console and I can imagine that many people will be tinkering with the console, so it might make sense to have a subforum devoted to it.

Some people like to sell the skin before they have caught the bear. Not only would I suggest waiting for the system to exist, I would also think it needs an ecosystem, something to discuss.

I think the “taco” thread is already giving this concept more attention than it deserves.

Atari itself says it's not a console:

Atari also doesn't like it when people call the VCS a "console." That word implies a closed system, often sold at a loss, where the platform-holder has full control over the hardware and the apps and games that can be sold and run on it.

Fair enough. Either way, I think it would make sense to eventually (maybe when it gets closer to release) to have a section as there will be a fair number of people looking to tinker with the box (even if it does not sell very well) and I think it would be cool if AtariAge was a place to discuss.
