If you compare, say, a Hong Kong made Rev A 800XL to any 130XE, it’s like night and day: fully socketed board, none of those ridiculous factory bodge wires XEs all seem to have, no stupid clumps of capacitors soldered sloppily around the SIO port ... seriously, stick with the XL. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rybags Posted June 20, 2019 Share Posted June 20, 2019 From personal experience the superpic type mods did nothing good for me on the 800XL. Whether that's unique to me or a PAL thing I don't know. My recommendation would be to perform the simple add wire with insulated resistor to give chroma on the monitor jack and if the output is acceptable leave it at that.
