BigO Posted June 23, 2019 Share Posted June 23, 2019 In Forums: Recent Status Updates, I'm seeing what appears to be a PM from one member to another (arthurgill to Richard H.) Is that a misused feature, a bug, or ? I successfully replied to it as a test and so the involved parties might know that the message was somehow made public. It appears that these two types of messages are treated the same, as opposed to truly private messages. For that matter, I don't know in which situations one has the need to post public messages to another member, but I know most forum softwares contain the option (and sometimes the user can disable such messages). The wording, "Write a public message on BigO's feed..." doesn't mean that these "public messages" are different from the status updates. If you want to send a private message, you'll want to use the Private Messenger.
