Zeus #1 Posted June 26, 2003 Step right up, the Salvation Army wants you to own this! Not mine. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...egory=3528&rd=

video game addict #3 Posted June 27, 2003 I'm curious... Does this auction mean to say that they are buying the Atari games from a Salvation Army, and reselling on ebay? Basically the money you pay them might be used towards future thrift store finds which they will resell for profit on ebay?
CPUWIZ #4 Posted June 27, 2003 No, that is the Salvation Army in Canada selling on eBay, I've gotten a package from the in the past.
video game addict #5 Posted June 27, 2003 Really? A thrift store that actually tests their games?!
Zeus #6 Posted June 27, 2003 I'm sorry to the people I pissed off. I was angry that I always get outbid on these Salvation Army lots. In frustration I posted it here to see if a bidding war would errupt. They are pretty business savvy, altough I resent that they auction all their Atari stuff now. They are pretty business savvy, altough I resent that they auction all their Atari stuff now. Getting outbid all the time really stinks and can get frustrating. I don't see any point in anyone getting pissed off over seeing an auction listing posted here whether the rare/htf item is blantantly obvious or hidden in a large lot. The same hardcore collectors who are mad, obviously already knew about it, so what makes them think other collectors also didn't already know about it? It doesn't bother me that the Salvation Army is now auctioning off merchandise that they know they can get more money from. The proceeds are going to charity, not to line someone's pockets. MegaManFan #9 Posted June 27, 2003 I wish I had known about that auction sooner. At least it had some nice Contra music.
