8BitDo Bluetooth Receivers

I was just testing out the GameCube Switch Controller from PowerA trying to sync it up to my SNES Classic

 

The Controller I found out it Bluetooth 5.0, The 8BitDo Classic Receiver might be Bluetooth 3.0

 

That sucks, I wanted to play my SNES/NES Classic with the GameCube Switch Controller

 

Can 8BitDo update it, so it can work with Bluetooth 5.0?
