That's why folks wish them to be duplicated (copied), linked in some way, or not touched at all.

As I stated before, the links will not change when the topics are moved. The link has no mention of what forum a particular topic is in, that information is stored in the database.  Any existing links to any moved topics will continue to work fine.

I would consider firmware of this nature to be paired with the hardware, and thus the firmware should likely be discussed in the same forum.  I am open to ideas on this, though.
