Atari game pads are they rare? Pics included....

Recommended Posts

I have a set of 2 button game pads that came with a 7800 unit I purchased on ebay. I use them with my 2600 (they are 2 button).

They have amazing response and just work really, really well. I never hear them mentioned , I never see them for sale. In fact the only time I have seen them is when I opened the box form ebay and they were in there. My 5 year old also finds them easier to use.

Who made these pads? are they rare? does anyone else use them?

I would like to buy a set.

here in europe they were a pack-in for the 7800 and the very late version of the 2600jr. they´re not too rare over here though they were never sold seperatly (afaik).

but: yes they are great, i also like them pretty much

one year ago www.pollin.de sold them very cheap, but they don´t seem to have them anymore...

Lemmi...I am going to kiss your A$$ if this works out. I hope they have them in stock. I just tried to place an order for three of them.

thsi is the greatest invention of the 2600 and 7800 ever.

my goodness can they possibly work with the 5200? (the only atari console system , from the first 3, I do not have if you look at my sig :-( .

you HAD it listed!

Just bought it.....these things are amazing!!

Do you prefer the old school effect of the Joy stick? Of course I like it as well but the pad wins out.

My kid and my wife enjoy the games more with the pad....and..........I secretly get better scores....sssshhhh...don't tell anyone!

Ive always hated the 2600 sticks, from 1980 to now. I get the worst cramps using those bastard things. In fact my interest in atari (and colecovision) raised about %1000 since i got those pads in the late 80''s. Luckily they are very common here.

Those are euro sticks. They're fairly common over there, but I don't think they were ever sold here.

No, it won't work with the 5200.

Actually, it should if you have a master play box, but won't if you don't because it's a 9 pin trying to go to a 15 pin port.
