3D Printed Housing for Intellivision II ?

Hey all. What does it take to make an alternative housing for an Intellivision II? I have access to hardware and materials, but plans/designs I have no clue (I imagine it would have to be printed in parts and then snapped together).

 Intellivision II: needs more woodgrain!

Typically, lacking dimensioned plans for the ports, we'd 3D scan the INTV internals, then use a parametric modeling program to build a new housing design around the scan data.

Here be one example of the process I've been tweaking of late.

Look at the Revopoint scanner, and I guess there's good feedback on Skectchup and Autodesk... something something, for modeling, if you don't have access to Solidworks or other production oriented solid modelers. Here is the "finished" portable illustrated above.
