Recommended Posts

Hi there, I have one arkyology cart for sale for the Atari 2600. Homebrew prototype, not many of these made. It has been tested and played. Prices don’t include shipping.  $100.00

So, $100 for a poor reproduction that's worth at best $20? Plus shipping?

  ..Al

Yep, that is roughly what he paid for it. Guess you never really know who is just gonna try and flip carts. :x

For anyone interested, I've got one of these carts sitting on my desk. $30 shipped. Don't pay more, surly not $100.

Ok to set the record straight. I thought this was the last one made. It was not my intention to scam anybody. That’s why  I set it high.  I personally like this game a lot and u guys did amazing job on it.  I didn’t realize there was more being made, otherwise I wouldn’t try to sell it. I apologize to cpuwiz and Shawn and Albert on making a mistake on the price. Actually going to keep it now. I hope we can continue to do business together. Thanks. Albert remove this post and thanks.

What gave you the impression your copy was the last one made? Just curious, since it's my understanding the binary was made available by programmer Paul Walters for free, so anyone is welcome to put it on a cart...

Cause I only made a handful of them at the time he bought his. He didn't get it that they can be made by anyone at anytime. I've only made as few as I have cause Albert (& Paul?) do plan on a full on AA branded release of it with extra bells and whisles at some point in the future. I didn't want to strip the meat off the bone when Albert has plans for it in the future. Would be like biting the hand that feeds sorta thing. CPUWIZ was originally going to be releasing it but then lost communication and had a bit of a falling out with Paul. CPUWIZ sent me a batch of parts he had set aside for Arkyology and told me to make and sell some cause he and I are close and he wanted me to make some coin off the deal seeing as he was no longer interested in doing so. Was a win, win for those without flash carts to be able to play it on the real deal without getting a low quality Hozer cart or having to pay out the wazoo from some other greedy repro maker.
