Rom Hunter #1 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Has anyone seen these before? Are they for the VCS? Let me know! Edited August 9, 2019 by Rom Hunter
R.Cade #2 Posted August 9, 2019 I don't think so. They are probably Sega Mark III games.
Shawn #3 Posted August 9, 2019 These look like Mark III carts.
+Psionic #4 Posted August 9, 2019 Could be but more likely they're bootleg SG-1000 cartridges. That's a Mark II system in the lower right corner of the first image.

Flojomojo #6 Posted August 9, 2019 The label illustration suggests Pengo to me, an SG-1000 port of the arcade game.
masschamber #7 Posted August 9, 2019 I had a few of those, they are taiwanese sg 1000 games, they are definitely worth checking out as the pirates ported some games that weren't officially released like track and field to the sg 1000

It's the SG-1000 version of Penguin Land, which was also released on the Mark III/Master System.
Flojomojo #9 Posted August 10, 2019 Nice, thanks. Mystery solved and I have a new game to try, even if it looks like a bit of work to play it.
+Psionic #10 Posted August 10, 2019 Oddly enough, Pengo never appeared on a Sega system until the Game Gear. I like Penguin Land although the game is on the difficult side. Steve Begin ported the original SG-1000 version to the ColecoVision in the early 2000s. CollectorVision did a reissue several years back although I'd imagine even that version is hard to come by at this point.

Atariboy2600 #12 Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) Yes it is the Sega Mark III as you can see the corner of the system side by side plus more image of the system like the Sega SG-1000. Edited August 10, 2019 by Atariboy2600

Huh? The system in the photo is an SG-1000 Mark II as I stated above. The Mark II has a single row of ventilation holes on top whereas the Mark III has two, as you can see from the photos you posted yourself. Not that it really matters either way since the cartridges in question are not VCS games nor any other Atari cartridges.
