The Atari 5200 (8-bit) version should be called "Popeye in Chinatown" - everything is to yellowish..

You have limited color pallets in various modes on the Atari 8-bit.

The tokens in the NES version fall REALLY fast, I was on the bottom of the screen most of the time.  In the 8-bit version I rarely went down there because the tokens stayed in the air much longer.  I'm guessing the NES version is closer to the arcade difficulty.

Does the arcade version have the Sea Hag throwing random bottles on the sides of the screens or was that just in the PB home versions because they couldn't do the bouncing skulls?

Yes, the arcade original has the Sea Hag - and some goodies more.
