Weird label damage on Super DK Jr repro

I saw this Super DK Jr Repro recently and was wondering what could cause, or create, such ugly parallel impressions in the label

It's obviously cheap from the get go, judging by the the square cut label corners, but this is bad even compared to Hozer.

Low ink; I've gotten the same results with photos printed with a good inkjet printer printed on good photo paper, but shitty ink levels 😁

That's most likely not low-ink, but clogged printhead nozzles.  If I ever see that, doing a cleaning cycle generally clears it up. 

 

Also, looks like they used a low-resolution image as well, judging by the poor quality of the text.  Overall this is just a very low-effort reproduction.

I've also had some early HB that in addition to poor quality printer, they used packing tape over the label to make it shiny and smooth.
