+TwentySixHundred
Yeah i just can't, think this game is more a joystick style game rather then gamepad. Also think the locked grid style is really putting me off. Oh well can't like them all

Scrabbler15
18,800 Whether to go fast or slow Something that I do not know When I try to pick up speed I don't hit the blocks I need Slowing down to make a turn Really makes my stomach churn Then I find the thing I fear Getting blown up from the rear Why do I keep coming back Knowing of the skills I lack Even though it's hit or miss Still it brings Atari bliss So I'll keep collecting blocks This is life in Solar Fox 7

Sneakyturtleegg
79400 Rack 10 Never played this before. Not sure if it's for me. I'm older and my reflexes are slower! But I see why a lot of people like it. The control seems very tight or sensitive. I tried several different controllers and ended up settling on an original SNES controller. jefframsey
142,600 / Rack 13! Difficulty A/B Feels good to get better at this one. Still don't know how some of you are getting 7 digit scores. Are you using real Atari VCS hardware? Standard joystick, etc? Also, whoever wrote that poem deserves 5 bonus points. +KaeruYojimbo
118,800 I heartily recommend not playing Solar Fox on the Flashback Portable. That mushy control pad is nowhere near precise enough.

I use real hardware from 1979 and joystick from my flashback 2. Fun game.
+Atari_Warlord
I didn't have this game back in the day. It's kind of fun and addicting. I'm sure I could do better with more practice, but I'm just trying to participate for now. Stella 1BB w/ real joystick

I haven’t hit 7 digits in HSC, but I believe that this game is non-random. (I.e. if you find a pattern for a rack and complete that pattern, the fireballs always come in the exact same places) back in in the day I believe I had patterns down for the all the racks before the double color racks (or maybe half, because of the skip rack). I wonder if I should try restarting each level to determine what the patterns are. This should be much easier with an emulator. (I did a similar thing with Grand Prix, disabling hit detection, but wasn’t able to replicate it in real life even after knowing which lane my car had to be)
