angusjake
I played the heck out of this game: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter...=C&game_id=7417 Anyone know if it was ever released on any of the home game systems?
Nukey Shay
Dunno...though the game seems a bit like the overhead levels of Contra3 on Snes.
Jetboot Jack
This game preceeded Contra by quite a while... There are versions for the Genesis, Atari ST, Amiga, C64, Amstrad CPC, Spectrum, and I'm sure many other late 80's systems... sTeVE
RJ
Actually this was the only Sega game I'd play in the arcade(s)- I was mainly an Atari man. When I got my Genny & discovered eBay, I made sure to get this game. Luckily a seller was nice enough to sell it alone to me after one of his lots didn't sell... burke_01
I've got the Genesis version. It sucks big time. The graphics are lame and the sound is appalling. The arcade version kicked ass.
RJ
What do you expect for a 16-bit home system? An EXACT arcade to home translation? Be thankful it came out! (BTW, I think it's decent!)
burke_01
Actually, I just wanted a game that didn't suck. And they failed me.
Bratwurst
What do you expect for a 16-bit home system? An EXACT arcade to home translation? Be thankful it came out! (BTW, I think it's decent!) The selling point of the Genesis was that its ports were comparable to the arcade counterparts. Similar hardware and so on.. Altered Beast for example. RJ
It could also be stated that burke_01's opinion the game sucked is exactly that... Now, comparing the Genny version to graphically superior systems (e.g. Atari ST, Amiga) & saying it sucks makes more sense. But I was simply saying hey, at least there IS a home version, & you've got it!
