GoodDealGames back online - Blix & Chocolate Mine for sale

Recommended Posts

Took a while, but I finally added a Good Deal Games page at INTV Funhouse. Thanks to the Michaels for doing this!

Surely we'll hear if / when a ROM becomes available for those who want to play via emulator or multi-cart.

If a ROM release is explored, would it require the features on LTO Flash! or would the ROM tolerate if, for example, flash storage is missing, e.g. an Intellicart or CuttleCart 3 were used?

The boxed game is chock full of goodies - absolutely worth getting!

For those of you who get new releases on other platforms -- is including candy a "thing"? Or is Intellivision the "sweet tooth" platform? Do you keep the candy with the game, eat it, or toss it?

This game and Piggy Bank included candy.... Shockingly, Jawbreaker didn't -- but it did have a trading card. Do we need to start the 'Edibles Network'?

I added JLP support just for high score saving.  For pre-LTO Flash carts, it would have to be disabled.  That's if we pursue that option.

I'm excited to know somebody found all 40 shards in Chocolate Mine.  Now to shoot for a higher score.

Good to know. This kind of detail is something I like to try to keep track of in the database for the website - a distinction between requiring certain features (e.g. JLP flash storage) vs. being enhanced by its presence, but functional without it. This can be important for ROMs and running in emulators as well.

If there's a database, then I'll let you know that FUBAR requires JLP (uses Flash, additional RAM, and real-time multiply/divide) and is enhanced by ECS (extra controllers and sound channels).

I know Blix & Chocolate Mine does not work with ECS.  I didn't know at the time what memory ranges not to use.  Unfortunately, I couldn't fix it because I had relied on having a large enough contiguous data range.

Great info! Thanks! If / when a ROM for these becomes available, this info can help when putting the game on LTO Flash! or launching in jzintv from the UI software.

Only temporarily.  He's back in business and has other new releases as well.

Could you post some long-play of the game to YouTube?

I've been meaning to start creating videos for YouTube.  Maybe when I get back from RetroGameCon, I can take some time for that.
